Dragon Boat Festival is one the very classic traditional festivals, whichhas been celebrated since the old China. Firstly, it is to in honor of the greatpoet Qu Yuan, who jumped into the water and ended his life for loving thecountry. Nowadays, different places have different ways to celebrate.
端午节是一个非常经典的传统节日,自古以来就一直被人们所庆祝。首先,是为了纪念伟大的诗人屈原,屈原跳入水自杀,以此来表达了对这个国家的爱。如今,不同的地方有不同的庆祝方式。
In my hometown, there will be a traditional competition, that is the dragonboat race. People make up the team and fight for the honor. Every boat lookslike the dragon and it is the most obvious feature. A lot of people will come tovisit or watch the match. Then the game begins. The audience will cheer for theteams and the competitors try their best to make the boat go fast. It is verylively.
Besides the competition, eating the traditional food zongzi is favored byeveryone. For me, it is very delicious. My grandma makes the best zongzi. Shehas the special recipe and it fits my stomach. So every time I go back hometown,my grandma will make it for me.
In other places, drinking the special wine and hanging the leaf are alsothe tradition. The preserve of the traditional festival makes our cultureprofound.
在其他地方,喝特殊的酒和挂艾叶也是传统。传统节日的保留使我们的文化博大精深。

Dear teachers and students:
Good morning, everyone! There is a childrens song said well: "May 5, is duanyang.Insert mugwort leaves, wear sachet, eat zongzi, sprinkle sugar, dragon boat launched jubilant."This childrens song is about Chinas annual traditional festival - Dragon Boat Festival.Today, the topic of my speech under the national flag is the Origin of the Dragon Boat Festival.
The annual Dragon Boat Festival is coming again. The Dragon Boat Festival is on the fifth day of the fifth month of the lunar calendar, also known as Duanyang Festival. It is a summer festival to drive away the plague. The Dragon Boat Festival is a traditional festival of the Han people in China.
There are many legends about the origin of the Dragon Boat Festival.Among them, to commemorate Qu Yuans view spread most widely.Qu Yuan was a great patriotic poet in ancient China. He was born more than 2,000 years ago in the State of Chu during the Warring States Period. He was upright, knowledgeable and talented. He held important posts in the State of Chu.Because he insisted on resolutely resisting the invasion of Qin, he was defeated and ostracized, and was expelled from the court by the king of Chu.Qu Yuan was so indignant that he wrote many patriotic poems in exile, the most famous of which is Li SAO.Later, the Troops of Qin captured the capital of Chu.Chu lost thousands of miles of land and was covered with corpses.Qu Yuan heart, he did not want to see the tragic scene, on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, embrace stones, jumped into the Miluo River. He was 62 years old.
The people loved Qu Yuan. When they heard the news of his suicide, they rowed boats and rushed to the river to salvage Qu Yuans body, but failed to find it.They are afraid that the fish and shrimp in the river will bite qu Yuans body, and have put jiangmi into bamboo tubes, thrown into the water, want to use jiangmi to feed fish and shrimp to protect Qu Yuans body.Since then, every year on the fifth day of may, people will spontaneously come to the river, mourning Qu Yuan, but also rowed into the rough waves, a symbol of people scrambling to salvage Qu Yuans body, in order to place the grief of Qu Yuan.Over time, the custom of eating zongzi and racing dragon boats has formed in the south of China. Therefore, the Dragon Boat Festival has become a festival to commemorate Qu Yuan.
Let us look at this traditional Chinese festival with respect and love!I wish you a happy Dragon Boat Festival in advance!
Thank you!
good evening , ladies and gentlemen . i am joy and glad to give you aspeech about stress , yes , just the topic you see on the screen.
psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problemof living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , andquickened pace of life .
statistics show that es every detail in our life . financialproblems , poor health , being laid off may be the stress that most adults nowsuffering . as students in the university , we are also under our special stress. while study , having to take various tests and submit a project against adeadline may put a great pressure on us . and the things make us felt stressedmay be our parents’s greater expectations on us than we could reach . later ,when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us . ithink we will worry a lot about our ability pete in the job market and howwe can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job .
the chief problem we should face to is our atitude towards stress .peopleusually say they can not live in the sun except they escape stress . it’e ! yes , however , very necessary . just image a world where stressdoes not exist and people lead their life in a fortable way . but isthis kind of living condition as perfect as we hope ? without stress , they mayfeel very satisfied with the current life but lack of power to discover newthings . too much satisfaction result in nothing except a countermarch of thesociety . no stress , no development . so a certain amount of stress is good .it can stimulate us and increase our level of alertness .
and our answer to stress is another vital problem . how to do withourselves when stress suddenly break into our life ? to wave the white flag andadmit our unability , to give up to our ideality , or worstly , just to suicideas to put an to everything … of cause not . the principle is to tackle withstress gentlely and harmoniously. we should try our best to release ourselves .such as to do some exercise , to linsen to traditional chinese music orclassical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life aschallenges .it’s no use crying over spilt milk . only to accept what hashappened can solve the problem.
ok , i think i was under large stress 3 minutes before , but now i am hereand have finished my speech . here is the last thing i want to add to my topic, face to it istinguished judges, teachers, dear fris:
Hello, everyone! M is cheng xiang yan , I am a junior e life science institution .Today, I am very glad to stand here and sharewith you my most sincere speech‘Flying youth, master our future!’
Life is a process of growing up. Saying goodbye to childhood, we step intoanother important time of life in the pace of young, facing new situations, dealing with different problems.....
However, who can really say what the youth is ? A period of time? Abelief? An attitude to life? Or anything else? actually, everyone has hisownunderstanding of young, it is a period of time of beauty and wonders, onlyafter you have experienced the sour , sweet ,bitter and salty, can you e a person of significance.
Just like A famous poet said ‘ youth is a lovely song ,where nothing isimpossible ,youth is a meaningful book, you’ll be never bored of it ;youth is arapid river ,it keeps on flowing day and night ;youth is a cup of tea ,it showsyou different kinds of tastes in your life.
As youth is so precious, of course, we must treasure it .Don’t let thelimited time pass by, grasping the young will means a better time is waiting foryou in the near future.
So,It’s necessary for us to prepare ourselves well for the future e.having a view on those great men in the history of hunman being, they all madefull use of their youth time to do things that are useful to society, to thewhole mankind, and as a consequence ,they are remembered by later generations, admired by everyone. so do something in the time of young, although you may notget achievements as these greatmen did ,though not for the whole world, just foryoueself, for those around! So, what should we do when we are young? Here,I’llpoint out some tips to help equip ourselves.
First of all, think of what you’d like to be some day. A teacher ? A doctor? A writer? Don’t afraid of dreaming of big and great .Since you are young , youcan dream of doing anything and ing anyone in the future. What’s more ,never ignore the power of knowledge. Read more books and travel around. For onething, it can increase your knowledge, for another, it’ll broaden yourhorizon.
Last but not the least , stick to your dream. It easier said than done. After all, future is not all roses. young is just like blooming flowers, theyare so beautiful when blooming, which make people feel happy, but with timepassing by, after they withers ,most people think they are ugly. and so it isthe same with young, we are enthusiastic when we are young, then we may lose ourpassion when getting older and older. So we should have enough courage anddetermination to e all the difficulties in struggling on the road.
I firmly believe one sentence that‘If you think you can, of course youcan!’Just believe we can make it! Keep on walking towards our dream. Flyingyouth , master our future. From today, now on , are you Ready ? That’s all.Thank you so much for your attention !
spare-time activities
spare-time activities in college are colorful. because college students have much more spare time than not only senior school students but also people who go to work.
according to different personalities, i found many kinds of different spare-time activities students had in college. outgoing students, quiet students and workaholics have different choices. but no matter what activities they choose, they enjoy themselves. that is important.
outgoing students are who like staying with fris but hate to be alone. these students in their spare time, generally speaking, would rather hang out with others. they may go shopping, traveling, do some sports, or have meals with their fris. outdoors activities are more appreciated by outgoing students, which is suitable to their personalities. however, they also have their own choices of whom to go out with. most of the time, they like to hang out with their lovers or familiar fris; but they also like others to join them sometimes. thus, they can keep knowing more fris who have the same hobbies as them.
quiet students are those who are opposed to the outgoing. they dislike noisy occasions; instead, they enjoy their own woulds. so indoors activities are popular among these students. for
instance, they like staying in dormitories, puters, sleeping or reading in a quiet place. by doing these they can think a lot and do lots of things they want but do not worried to be disturbing by others. quiet, shy and a little restrained personalities make they suit these kinds of indoors activities well.
workaholic are not pletely are outgoing or quiet. it is totally up to their work. they work hard, no matter on their jobs or studies. thus, in their spare time, they are still focus on things related to their work. researching, doing projects or having part-time jobs monly seen among them. they find those challenging and full of experience; sometimes they even can earn money them. some of their spare-time activities also need to go out, some need to hit on books. so their activities are plicated than the outgoing and the quiet.
outdoors activities, indoors activities and mixed activities are three kinds of spare-time activities in college. they are separately suit for outgoing students, quiet students and workaholics. it is not possible to define which one is the best. but as long as students think they are useful and interesting, that is the best spare-time activities.

good morning everybody, i’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech. we all know that bingxin has a famous saying "we always admire the beauty of flowers but its sprout was watered by tears of struggle and rained by blood of sacrifice". so for the majority, behind their success, are filled of sweat and tears.
eagle flying in the vast firmament, must be experienced the pain of countless times fall under the cliff, then hammered out a pair of volley wings. a shinning of pearls, inevitably suffered countless body friction and numerous waves’ shock. in this view, a real successful people, and he must experienced numerous times to stand up again and agin after failed, because without sweat and tears on the life road ,no one can casually get the beautiful flowers.
alfter a heavy fall shi tiesheng lost his legs, it must be a heavy blow for anyone. but he didn't lose faith in life, but use his brain and hands to show the infinite love of life; beethoven was blind and deaf, but he still had written the "hero" "destiny" and so on a large number of music works, in his unfortunately life, he doggedly gripped the "fate of the throat. they all had a fall, but they are strong enough to stand up, fight against fate and misfortune, finally they succeed. so for each of us, wrestling is not terrible, lose confidence and courage in life is the most terribe thing. in my opionion, the sweat and tears during the life’ journey are very important for us, they hone our will, and enrich our experience. as the saying goes, how can you see the rainbow without a rainy day, while you don't work hard and not struggle, how can you gain the successful flowers.
all in all, the sweat and tears on the struggling road is inevitable, don’t look for shortcuts anymore, steadfast walk every step, we will succeed in the . so belief yourself, nothing is impossile, just do it.
thank you for taking your time to listen to my speech, i hope in the near future we all can be successful.
The exact origins of Duan Wu are unclear, but one traditional view holds that the festival memorializes the Chinese poet Qu Yuan (c. 340 BC-278 BC) of the Warring States Period. He committed suicide by drowning himself in a river because he was disgusted by the
corruption of the Chu government. The local people, knowing him to be a good man, decided to throw food into the river to feed the fish so they would not eat Qus body. They also sat on long, narrow paddle boats called dragon boats, and tried to scare the fish away by the sound of drums aboard the boat and the fierce looking carved dragon head on the boats prow.
In the early years of the Chinese Republic, Duan Wu was also celebrated as "PoetsDay,"due to Qu Yuans status as Chinas first poet of personal renown.
Today, people eat bamboo-wrapped steamed glutinous(粘的) rice dumplings called zongzi (the food originally intended to feed the fish) and race dragon boats in memory of Qus dramatic death.
reading,there i am!
lots of my fris call me obama. i often wondered why they think i look like barack obama, but i finally figured it out. first, my skin is black because i often play basketball in the open air. second, i have a big mouth. finally, i always deliver my speeches loudly. my fris ask me: "are you imitating obama’s speech?" i say "no, i am imitating li yang’s!"
actually, i admire obama not because he looks like me but because he has the habit of reading. ing across some troubles, he turns to books for help. therefore somebody said that you can tell what is on obama’s mind and what obama ints to do only by knowing what books he’s reading. should someone say that i love reading as much as obama, i will be happy.
even as a young boy i was interested in picture books and storybooks. once my class and history teacher were amazed after i gave a
detailed description of the war between liu bang and xiang yu. i was able to do this because i had read the whole story in a cartoon drawn by the hong kong artist tony wong. as you can see, i gain knowledge through reading.
last year, we had a petition. before the game, we collected plenty of books relating to the subject of the debate. we absorbed fresh ideas and we practiced our debating skills according to the guidance of the books. and finally, we won the game.
not only have i learned skills through reading, but i also cultivate my spirit municating with the noble authors. i enjoy talking with benjamin franklin. it seems that this wise man wants to show his whole life to me and give me some advice. i municating with helen keller through our souls. i am always deeply impressed by her patience and perseverance. i enjoy listening attentively to kai-fu lee. i was suddenly
enlightened when i heard his words "be your personal best".
good books are best fris who never turn their backs upon us. i will spare no effort to read as many books as possible, not because i want to be president of a nation like obama, but because i want to pursue my own happiness. my fris, e with me and let’s share the joy of reading.
Dear leaders and colleagues:
The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the Dragon Boat Festival, also known as Duanyang Festival, Dragon Boat Five, Midday, summer festival, midday festival, May Festival, Ai Festival and so on.
Every year on this day, people hold indispensable activities, such as sticking mugwort on the door, eating zongzi, wearing sachets and racing dragon boats. This year, on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, we are about to celebrate the Dragon Boat Festival, an annual traditional Chinese festival.
So how does Dragon Boat Festival come about? It is said that more than two thousand years ago, Qu Yuan, a doctor of the State of Chu, cared about the sufferings of the people and was loved and loved by the people. After he drowned himself in the river, the people of chu rushed to the miluo River to express their condolences to him.People rowed boats up and down the river to retrieve his body, which gave rise to the custom of dragon boat racing. The custom of eating zongzi is to throw rice balls wrapped in neem leaves and colored silk into a river to pay homage to Qu Yuan.So the Fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the Dragon Boat Festival.
Every Dragon Boat Festival, every family will eat zongzi, hang ai cao, wear sachets, dragon boat races, poetry festival, commemorate Qu Yuan, celebrate the festival.
However, with the change of times, more and more foreign cultures have penetrated into our lives, the once lively festivals have been gradually forgotten by people, we seem to no longer care about the traditional culture for thousands of years, but turn more attention to western festivals, such as "Christmas" and "April Fools Day".While we were still basking in the laughter of Western festivals, in 20__, South Korea applied to UNESCO for the Dragon Boat Festival to be listed as its intangible cultural Heritage and a national heritage site.
Listening to these, we are what kind of mood, this is not only a traditional festival gains and losses, not only a few celebration activities, more importantly, it is the traditional festival of the Chinese nation, it retains the unique cultural memory of the Chinese nation. Each traditional festival can strengthen the cohesion and centripetal force of the Chinese nation. But now, this traditional festival that we have spent more than two thousand years has become the national heritage of other countries, how embarrassed and helpless we are.
Chinese traditional festivals are colorful and rich in cultural connotations, preserving the unique cultural memory of our ancestors. We should appreciate and Revere the historical and cultural heritage created by our ancestors.
Thank you, my speech is over, I wish everyone a happy Dragon Boat Festival!
The Dragon Boat Festival occurs on the fifth day of the fifth moon of thelunar calendar(阴历). It is one of the three most important of the annual Chinesefestivals. The other two are the Autumn Moon Festival and Chinese New Year.
The story of this colorful festival concerns a famous Chinesescholar-statesman(政治家) named Chu Yuan(屈原) who, some three centuries before thebirth of Christ, served the King of Chu(楚怀王)during the Warring States period. Asa loyal minister(大臣), Chu Yuan at first enjoyed the full confidence and respectof his sovereign(君主). Eventually, through the intrigues of his rivals, he wasdiscredited(不足信的, 不名誉的).
Chu Yuan was never able to regain(恢复) the emperor's favor and on the fifthday of the fifth moon in the year 295 B.C.(Before Christ), at the age of 37, ChuYuan clasped a stone to his chest and plunged into the Milo River(汨罗江) in theHunan Province(湖南省).
Respecting the minister as an upright(正直的) and honest man, the people wholived in the area jumped into their boats and rushed out in a vain search forhim. This unsuccessful rescue attempt is a part of what the Dragon Boat Festivalcommemorates every year.
Probably the most exciting and interesting aspect of the festival is theracing of the Dragon Boats. These races not only symbolize the people's attemptto save Chu Yuan, they also demonstrate the Chinese virtues(美德) of cooperationand teamwork.
Another activity of the Festival is the making and eating of a kind ofdumpling called Tzungtzu (粽子). When it became known that Chu Yuan was goneforever, the people, living along the river, threw cooked rice into the water asa sacrifice(祭品) to their dead hero. They wrapped(包) rice in bamboo leaves(粽叶),and stuffed(填满) it with ham, beans, bean paste(豆沙), salted egg yokes, sausages, nuts, and/or vegetables.
To the Chinese the fifth lunar moon is more than just the Dragon BoatFestival. Since antiquity(古代), they have believed that this month is apestilential and danger-fraught(瘟疫的及充满危险的) period. Children born in this monthare said to be difficult to raise(抚养), and people tend to concentrate theirefforts during this time attempting to protect their families from ills andmisfortune. The day of the Dragon Boat Festival is customarily the time whencleaning and sanitation(卫生) are stressed(着重, 强调). Most families hang calamus(菖蒲)and artemisia(艾草) above their doors, both as a decoration and as a preventiveagainst pestilence.
Ancient folk medicines(民间药物) such as realgar(雄黄酒)are added to the foodeaten on the Festival day. This is believed to prevent disease and to promote ahealthy digestive system(消化器官). The drinking of realgar in wine supposedlyrelieves(解除) the effects of poisons accumulated in human bodies.
The sachets (Hsiang Pao in Chinese香包) are very popular with children andthey vie(竞争) with each other to collect as many as possible. Children are notthe only ones who collect Hsiang Pao. Older people are often given them as asymbol of respect, and they are highly prized because of the intricate(复杂的) andbeautiful embroidery(刺绣) that adorns(装饰) them.
The Dragon Boat Festival is an entertaining and enjoyable event. It givesthe observer an opportunity to glimpse a part of the rich Chinese culturalheritage.
The Dragon Boat Festival is coming. Do you know the origin ofthe Dragon Boat Festival? Let me introduce you.
The Dragon Boat Festival is the oldest traditional festival that started inthe spring and autumn period and the warring states period in China, this dayindispensable activity gradually evolved into: eating zongzi, dragon boatracing, hanging calamus and moxa leaf, smoked rhizoma atractylodis, radixangelicae, drink realgar wine. It is said that eating zongzi and racing dragonboat are to commemorate qu yuan, so after liberation, the Dragon Boat Festivalwas named "poets day" to commemorate qu yuan. As for hanging calamus, mugwort, smoky, angelica, drinking realgar wine, it is said to be to crush evil spirits.Although the Dragon Boat Festival is over every year, the origin of the DragonBoat Festival is not very clear.
Wish Dragon Boat Festival to come quickly, can eat fragrant ricedumplings!
Dear leaders and colleagues:
Everybody is good!
Today is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, is the Dragon Boat Festival, our traditional Festival of the Chinese nation. There is such a folk childrens song: "May 5, is the Dragon Boat, there is moxa inside the door, full of incense.Eat dumplings, sprinkle sugar, dragon boat race, happy."The Dragon Boat Festival has a history of more than 2,000 years, dating back to the Spring and Autumn period and the Warring States Period. So what kind of festival is it?
First, The Dragon Boat Festival is a festival to commemorate poets and patriots.Because the patriotic poet Qu Yuan saw the country broken people, the fifth day of may into the Miluo River. After Qu Yuan sank into the river, the ancient people put bamboo tubes filled with rice into the river, thousands of boats lit a fire, Shouting, in order to scare away the dragon, so as to express respect and memory of Qu Yuan, later evolved into the custom of eating zongzi, dragon boat racing. After thousands of years of inheritance, Qu Yuans patriotic feelings can not leave the cultural connotation of the Dragon Boat Festival. The Dragon Boat Festival has become an important ceremony for Chinese people to convey patriotism and spirit.
Second, Dragon Boat Festival is a healthy festival. The Dragon Boat Festival is a time when spring and summer change. The weather is hot, rainy and humid, mosquito breeding, disease and insect pest increase, is the season of high incidence of infectious diseases. In order to avoid disease, the ancients ed mugwort leaves and hung calamus around the Dragon Boat Festival to drive away mosquitoes and flies and purify the air.Dragon Boat Festival, adults to drink realgar wine, calamus wine snake and insect repellent, children to wear containing cinnabar, realgar, vanilla sachet, to prevent disease. These customs express the ancient peoples desire to get rid of plague, ward off evil spirits and pray for peace and security. In this sense, the Dragon Boat Festival is the earliest health and epidemic Prevention Festival in China.
Third, The Dragon Boat Festival is a sports festival because people race dragon boats on the water on this day.Dragon boat racing is a very imposing and cooperative spirit of competitive activities. The Dragon Boat Festival can promote the masses of water sports, physical fitness, unity of the people. Now it has gradually evolved into an international sporting event, serving as a bond of friendship.
Fourth, The Dragon Boat Festival is a food festival, because we want to eat delicious zongzi.During the Jin Dynasty, zongzi was officially designated as a food for the Dragon Boat Festival.People soak glutinous rice, wash the leaves of zongzi and make zongzi. The colors of zongzi are various. The shape of the quadrangle, conical, diamond, and with a bamboo tube of rice sealed and baked into the "tube dumplings."In terms of fillings, Beijing date dumplings contain many small red dates from the north; In the south, there are many fillings, such as red bean paste, fresh meat, ham, egg yolk and so on.Among them, Zhejiang Jiaxing zongzi is a representative. It can be described as fragrant leaves and delicious dumplings.
"May 5, is the Dragon Boat Festival, the door is full of moxa, incense.Eat dumplings, sprinkle sugar, dragon boat race, happy."
Thank you!
By Yang Xinyun
Good morning everyone. M is YangXinyun. You can call me Sunny, too. I'm a 13-year-old girl and I'm Guilin Howell School. Today my topic isthe story between English and me.
Now as we all know, there are six officiallanguages of the United Nations. And English is one of them. Certainly it isvery important and useful. We can talk to the foreign people when we can speakEnglish very well. But everyone knows it is always difficult to learn somethingat the beginning. Just like learning English.
I started to learn English in Grade 2. First,I don't like English. Because it's really difficult for me to write, speak and remember. So I always get the worst marks in my class.
Until one day, my dad asked me a strangequestion, "What is your favourite thing?" I said, "I like my guitar. And I likedrawing pictures. I also like going out to play with Lisa."(Lisa is my bestfri.)Then he said, "What about English?" "I don't like it at all." Ianswered. My dad was very strict but also very patient, "My dear daughter, ifyou still don't like English, you will never get a chance to learn more byEnglish, such as your music and your art." I was afraid about ing day. Andmy dad said, "So making a fri with English will make you happy. Trust me!" Ithought maybe my dad is right.
Then I came to Howell. It's really a goodplace for learning. I played games and sang English songs with other classmatesin Howell. I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colourfuldream in my English world. Every day, I read English following the tapes.Sometimes, our teachers showed us cartoons. Certainly, I remembered and usedthe English words and phrases every day. I have been work harder and harder.
And now I can speak English well and alwaysget the best marks. I am happy. Because I did it better. I also have many problems. There are so many differences between English and Chinese. For example, when wemake a phone call, in Chinese we say, "I'm Sunny." But in English we say, "Thisis Sunny." If we can remember the differences we will be strong and powerful inEnglish. That's exciting.
English is always my best fri and it hasbeen a part of my life. In the future, I am going to study inAustralia. Iwill learn English well and introduce my country well. It will be wonderful. Ibelieve that as I love English more, it will love me more, as well.
Dear leaders and colleagues:
Everybody is good!
This year, May 10 falls on the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which is the Dragon Boat Festival, a traditional Chinese festival.People will commemorate qu Yuans immortal soul by racing dragon boats, making zongzi and drinking realgar wine.
According to records of the Grand Historian and The Biography of Qu Yuan jia Sheng, Qu Yuan was a minister of King Huai of Chu during the Spring and Autumn Period. He advocated educating the people and enriching them, and insisted on uniting against the Qin Dynasty, which was strongly opposed by nobles and others.Qu Yuan was driven from the capital and exiled to the yuanhe Lake valley.During his exile, he wrote immortal poems such as Li SAO, Tian Wen and Jiu Ge, with unique style and far-reaching influence. In 278 BC, the Qin army conquered Kyoto and Chu.Qu Yuan saw his motherland was invaded, heartbroken, but he could not bear to give up his motherland. On May 5, after he finished his masterpiece huai Sha, he threw himself into the Miluo River and wrote a magnificent patriotic movement with his own life.
After His death, the people of chu were so sad that they rushed into the Miluo River to pay their respects to Qu Yuan. The fishermen rowed up and down the river to retrieve his body. Some fishermen took out rice balls, eggs and other food and threw them into the river, hoping that fish, dragons, shrimp and crabs would not bite the doctors body when they were full. Some of them took a jar of realgar wine and poured it into the river, hoping to stun the Dragon water beast and spare Dr. Qu.Later, fearing that the rice balls would be eaten by dragons, people came up with the idea of wrapping the rice in neem leaves and surrounding it with colored silk to develop brown seeds.

This is a principle which must be upheld without any , I wish to report to you that my talks with the government have been aimed at normalizing the political situation in the country. We have not as yet begun discussing the basic demands of the struggle. I wish to stress that I myself have at no time entered into negotiations about the future of our country except to insist on a meeting between the ANC and the has gone further than any other Nationalist President in taking real steps to normalize the situation. However, there are further steps, as outlined in the Harare Declaration, that have to be met before negotiations on the basic demands of our people can begin.
Negotiations cannot take place — Negotiations cannot take place above the heads or behind the backs of our people. It is our belief that the future of our country can only be determined by a body which is democratically elected on a nonacial basis. Negotiations on the dismantling of apartheid will have to address the overwhelming demands of our people for a democratic, nonacial and unitary South Africa. And this reality is that we are still suffering under the policies of the Nationalist , so that the process towards democracy is rapid and uninterrupted. We have waited too long for our freedom. We can no longer wait.
Now is the time to intensify the struggle on all fronts. To relax our efforts now would be a mistake which generations e will not be able to role in a united democratic and non瞨acial South Africa is the only way to peace and racial harmony. In conclusion, I wish to quote my own words during my trial in 19xx. They are as true today as they were then. I spoke: I have fought against white domination and I have fought against black domination. I have cherished the ideal of a democratic and free society in which all persons live together in harmony and — and with equal opportunities. It is an ideal which I hope to live for and to achieve. But if needs be, it is an ideal for which I am prepared to die.
the ideal teacher may be young or old, tall or short, fat or thin. he should know his subject, but he can make mistakes if he is willing to learn. his personality is as important as his scholarship. the ideal teacher must be enthusiastic. he must never teach anything he himself is not interested in. he should be a bit of anactor and he should not be afraid t express his feelings and express his likes and dislikes. he must like his students and respect them. but he must also respect himself and take pride in his work. otherwise, he cannot respect his students and win respect them.
the ideal teacher should have an understanding of his students and be able tp relate to them. he needs students’ understanding, too. the ideal teacher should be kind, encouraging, and helpful and he should motivate his students to seek knowledge. the ideal teacher should see his students as individuals and acknowledge their differences. he must know how to encourage the self-development and growth of each of his students.
the ideal teacher is one who grows, learns, and improves himself along with his what about the teachers around you?
