Good evening, honorable judges, dear teachers, my fellow students: I feel so honored to have this privilege to give you a speech which entitled “A Chinese Dream”. Over two thousand years ago, Confucius, the greatest educator and the idea of “building a world of Datong”. What is “Datong”? In modern peoples eyes, it means “Great Unity”. It refers to a world in which everyone, rich or poor, noble or humble, plays his part appropriately and everything is righteously placed and distributed. It seems that only those illustrious figures like state leaders or great scholars and scientists have the obligation to shoulder this dream of establishing “great unity.” It seems that such an ordinary sophomore in college like me has nothing to do with the realization of this lofty dream. Fashions go in and out. This season for girls and women is a variety of things. First on the list is nautical. For instance, a striped blue and white dress with brass buttons. Next, humongous belts over dresses and things looks fabulous. Always go to the extreme, either get a huge tote bag, or a tiny purse. Stilettos are out, and chunky heels are in. Try to layer your outfits like put a skirt over pants, dresses over jeans, and even try Bermuda shorts over pants. This is useful when a dress gets too short, just stick jeans underneath, and you’ll look great. The Napoleonic style is in. Clothes that would have been worn in Napoleons time: navy coats with gold trimmings and brass buttons.

Aside from matching you, your clothes must match each other. If you wanted to wear a pink shirt with white on it, an adorable choice for a sweater would be a white jacket. Suppose, you wore a white shirt with pink on it, you shouldn’t wear the white sweater. Instead, wear a pink sweater. Also, if you wear this shirt and wanted to wear a headband that was pink but a slightly different shade of pink with it- that is a fashion don’t. Never wear denim on denim. That is to wear a denim jacket with a denim skirt or jeans. Especially if the denim is two different shades. You may think similarity is a good thing, but in some cases its not. Dark green with light green is fine-light blue with dark blue is fine too. But, they must be correct shades. A pink with a slight orange tinge is not good with plain pink. with your seasons and holidays. Unless it is the Fourth of July, or some patriotic holiday, avoid wearing red, white, and blue. Unless it is around Christmas time, don’t wear red and green. During winter, light blue looks good, and so does white and beige. During spring, green, yellow and cheerful colors look best. Fall is the time for solemn colors like dark red, brown, and black. Summer is the cheery red, orange and plain cool and crisp white.
Types of clothes are also important. A long-sleeved shirt with shorts is never ok, but a short-sleeved shirt with shorts or pants is ok. No socks with sandals even if its toe socks. Clothes are fabulous things for girls to fuss over and spend hours deciding what to wear. Let’s try our best to make them look great.

Being grateful is an important philosophy of life and a great wisdom. It is impossible for anyone to be lucky and successful all the time as long as he lives in the world .We should learn how to face failure bravely and to try to deal with it.

The recent earthquake in Japan has triggered a series of unexpected crises and even faith crisis among us. Are the increasing natural disasters echoing the 20xx prediction by Maya? Is our future really so vulnerable and tentative? I am trying to probe the answer.
Last November, as a volunteer of the Global Sustainable Leaders Forum, I first came across the concept of social entrepreneurship. In the inspiring speeches, I saw the determination and faith of converting ideal into practice. I couldn’t help asking myself: what should I live for?
The great thinker Russell once put in his essay: Three passions, simple but overwhelmingly strong have governed my life: the longing for love, the search for knowledge, and unbearable pity for the suffering of mankind.
By launching donation campaigns and bearing social responsibility, Bill Gates reshaped the stereotyped faith of businessmen.
Then, how can I make a difference? A talk with my father gave me some inspiration.
My father is a superfan of traditional Chinese calligraphy. When I was a kid, I had the faintest idea why I should practise routinely this form of art. It was terribly boring. But Dad said seriously: As a Chinese, we need to pass down and promote our rich culture. It is our responsibility.

In my university, students majoring in National Defence choose to devote their golden years to safeguarding our mother land. They have interpreted faith with their own dynamic youth.
My friends, musicians can not simply provide us with lyrical notes, but create melody to sooth our soul; Scientists can not merely invent machines, but utilize their wisdom to reshape our lifestyle; teachers can not just impart knowledge, but usher us to become a worthy person!
So, my dear friends, life without faith is just like music without melody, and world without color. We are who we choose to be. It is faith that’ll remove our fear about future and stretch the radius of our life. Let faith light up all our young dreams.

Air quality is really bad, said on the radio in the school has the heavy pollution, demands that we don"t do sports on the playground, in the dirty air movement, feeling himself a vacuum cleaner.
These days the weather is getting warm, but that the fog still lingering. China is faced with some enormous challenges as it enters the 21st century. In order to ensure the prosperity of our nation and its future generations we must confront and ultimately solve these challenges.
Some of the more pressing issues facing China are universal. These include environmental degradation, over population andthe effects of globalization.
To overcome some of the things we need to implement include:
Enhancing our scientific and industrial technologies in such areas as IT, Bio- tech, AI and Cybernetics.
Further develop public infrastructure in under developed regions.
Promote education reform at all levels.
Introduce sustainable development initiatives.
The implementation of free trade agreement between China and ASEAN.
The benefit to China in introducing these initiatives will be significant and far-reaching. It is important to realize that these initiatives need to filter down through all elements of the society in China. For instance, cutting edge technologies and intellectual properties; the development of e-commerce based economy; an education system that encourages innovation and creativity; increased foreign investment; higher living standards; more efficient use of natural resources.
It is important for us to realize these reforms are both essential and necessary. These will help China to fulfill its vast and unrealized potential on the world stage. It will also contribute more to a globalized world of the new century.
As for the future our task is not to foresee but to enable.

on your way to success, you must keep your direction. it is just like alamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way.otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead.
direction means objectives. you can get nowhere without an objective inlife.
you can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieveit. in this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your timeproperly. and you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as longas you keep your direction all the time.

The ancient said the world is a book and those who do not travel read onlyone page. After the fall, winter gentlely comes to us, with the temperature goes downstep by step, and we will put on the clothes little by little. But to someone,the much-awaited winter finally comes, with the clean and beautiful snow fallingdown. Children shout and hurry to the outside to enjoy the snowy day. Like a child endlessly asking, we humans, throughout history, have been continually demanding what we desire from nature. We enjoy the comfort and beauty of our furniture, yet we never bother to think about the serious soil erosion caused by deforestation. We take it for granted that we must warm ourselves in winter times, yet we seldom realize the burning away of precious natural resources. We appreciate all the prosperity from the development of modern industry, yet few would give the slightest consideration to the global air and water pollution caused by industrial wastes. Our ruthless exploitation has permanently impaired our mother earth. As we tragically learned from last summer's floods. we cannot continue our carelessness.
