My dream job is to become a professor of literature at a prestigious university. As an avid reader and lover of literature, I believe that teaching others about the beauty and power of language is the most fulfilling career path for me.

For our students， marks is above everything. Teachers will judge us from our marks. With marks we can be enrolled into junior middle schools. With marks， we can be enrolled into senior middle schools. With marks we can be enrolled into college. With marks we can be enrolled into postgraduate and doctrine studies. Still with marks we can be graded and be allowed to go abroad for further studies. Our parents will be strict with us with the marks. Our society judge us from marks. However， sometimes we students compare one another with marks directly. We are completely controlled by marks. We like them and we feel sorry for them. But what attitude towards our marks should we take？
Truly， marks functions cannot be underestimated. In terms of test in our study， marks are fair and real. That is the reason why we say ＂Everyone is equal before marks. ＂
However， I think marks are the sole standard to judge the success or failure of students in exams. Sometimes， marks more than ten or less than one or two in our exams comparing with others mean not everything. The success or failure in exams will be influenced by experience on the spot and the examinee’s health etc. Once in a while one cannot fail in exams. ＂ Success or failure is common sense for military. ＂ I think everyone is familiar with the famous saying. As a matter of fact， ＂high marks＂ and ＂ability＂ are not unified. Some time ago， a new phrase ＂ high marks but poor competence＂ came into being. Once I happened to meet such a teacher as this .It is said that the teacher just graduated from a far-famed key university. But his teaching result is much less than that of the one who just graduated from a not-well-renowned college. When lecturing， the teacher only repeated what the text-books says， which was very dull so the his students’ interest in learning was not aroused. His teaching was short of unity of teaching and learning. At present there is a fact that we know a few brilliant and top college graduates are not qualified for their posts. The reason for it may be lack of the ability to combine knowledge learnt from books with pragmatics in their work. Students of this kind will be successful in every exam but they will be able to use freely their knowledge in their posts. Don’t you think it waste training such persons for the country？
To sum up from the above， I can say marks are not absolutely authoritative for some. If we neglect training and developing the students’ ability and competence and if we only seek for the high marks， we will be absolutely wrong. We should take an objective attitude towards the marks. Neither should we neglect them nor should we overvalue them like a God.

last summer, i volunteered(动词) to work as an english teacher in a primary school for children of migrant workers. to be accurate, i didn't volunteer. i was dragged in literally. when my friends first hit upon the idea of this project. i was all against it. Here are just a few ideas to help you to do something to protect our environment.

What is friendship? It is not food that we eat when we are starved but it can help fill up our empty mind when we feel lonesome. It is not clothes to wear when we are frozen but it is able to keep a stream of warmth welling up our heart. It is not a book that we read but it provides guidance to our life. Friendship is untouchable but it exists and touches people’s heart. It is something wonderful.
Friendship is about solicitude. When we get ill in bed our friends will put aside what they are doing and come immediately to us. They will sit by our bed so that they can get what we need at the moment promptly.
Friendship is about encouragement. When we fail and find ourselves hopeless and helplessfriends will be there accompanying us bracing us up and seeing it through with us.
Friendship is about consolation. When we weep in grief our friends will be around us hearkening to our bitter experience and trying their level best to make us feel better.
Nevertheless it is superficial to perceive friendship as gaining benefits from others. Friendship is more than that. We can’t merely receive. We ought to repay as well because friendship is reciprocal.
Friendship is about tolerance. We can’t expect our friends to be flawless because no one is perfect. We should be magnanimous enough to accept some of their shortcomings which they endeavor hard but fail to get rid of.
Friendship is about forgiveness. They shouldn’t be considered as bad friends even if they do something wrong to us. We are supposed to listen calmly and even-temperedly to their words as well as accept their sincere apology. A trifle is not supposed to injure a great friendship.
Friendship is about constant attention. Long time of neglect will upset our friends. If we let nature take its course without taking any action friendship will eventually wither like a flower which has been left without caring for too much time.
Now it won’t be so hard to realize that friendship is not as easy as it may seem. It is like the reservoir which will dry up if one doesn’t constantly pipe water into it. It is like the glass which is fragile and needs careful attention. It is sometimes difficult to handle.
To conclude friendship is a mutual spiritual assist. We get supported and helped while at the same time support and help our friends.

Good morning! I am very glad to stand here and share the topic of “youth” with you. I come from and my name is maxfu. Today my topic is “Melody of Youth”.
Some people say that youth is a rising sun, carries infinite hope and irradiates dazzling light.
Some people say that youth is a ball of blaze, flickers the flame of passion, dances the melody of youth.
Some people say that youth is a roaring river, bursts out the voice of confidence, flows the boldness of youth.
Some people say that youth is a fresh willow, has not only the endless tenderness, but also the iron will.
It’s true. Youth is ought to be a life with great persistence, which is full of hope, enthusiasm, assurance, belief and keep striving during all your life.
Since we know how wonderful the youth is, how can we build our own youth wonderful?
Firstly, I think you should set an ambition. Sam Walton has told us: High expectation is the key to everything. Ideals are the navigation mark and ambitions are the power for our striving.
Secondly, I think you should think more. Look before you leap, we are impetuous, if we consider everything calmly; there’s nothing that we can not do successfully.
Thirdly, I think you should work hard. An idle youth， a needy age. When we are young we are supposed to struggle, to do everything by ourselves so that we can get more experience for our future. As it’s said the beautiful rainbow always appears after a ding-on and the wealthy harvest always comes from laborious tillage.
Lastly, I think you should have a mood of optimism. Being positive, when we meet the frustration, can help us learn how to he stronger. Cause we are young, there’s no fail if only we try it again. Don’t get dizzy with success, and don’t get upset with failure.
By the way, being in youth doesn’t only mean you are young at your age. Youth is not a time of life, it is a state of mind. When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.
Youth is a painting, which engraves by magnificent and wonderful color. Youth is a song, which resounds with brightness and sweetness. 首先，青春需要目标。沃尔顿曾说过：“远大的理想是开启万物的钥匙。”理想是我们前进的航标，目标是我们奋斗的动力。
其次，青春需要思考。三思而后行，年轻的我们是血气方刚的一代，当我们用冷静的思考去面对人生中的一切，还有什么事做不成、办不到的呢!
再者，青春需要努力。少壮不努力，老大徒伤悲。年轻的时代，就是一个应当努力奋斗的年代，通过自己的打拼去积累今后的人生阅历，去历练自己。要知道迷人的彩虹出自大雨的洗礼，丰硕的果实来自辛勤的耕耘。

We live in Beijing, and the environment in Beijing is directly related to our existence!
But Beijing's environment is very bad now, such as: poor air quality, less plants, sewage, garbage dump more problems etc. These people are not enough to bring a devastating disaster, such as: dust storms, floods, ground subsidence, etc.

Whether 60 of 16 , there is in every human being ‘s heart the lure of wonders, the unfailing childlike appetite of what’s next and the joy of the game of living . In the center of your heart and my heart there’s a wireless station : so long as it receives messages of beauty , hope ,cheer, courage and power from men and from the infinite, so long as you are young .
When the aerials are down , and your spirit is covered with snows of cynicism and the ice of pessimism, then you are grown old ,even at 20 , but as long as your aerials are up ,to catch waves of optimism , there is hope you may die young at 80.

What life is about
As we all know, the most important thing in life is our attitude towards it, tons of men have tried different ways of treating life, and some succeeded, some failed, and here are some of the tips they left us.
Life isn’t about keeping score. Life isn’t about your shoes or your hair or the color of your skin. In fact it’s not about if you have lots of friends or if you are alone, and it’s not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life just isn’t about that.
But life is about whom you love and who you hurt. It’s about how you feel about yourself. It’s about trust, happiness and compassion. It’s about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It’s about what you say and what you mean. It’s about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. And we should always remember to be ourselves. Other might have things that we desire but being what we really are is the only trail leading to the true colors of life. Most of all, it’s about choosing to use your life to touch someone else’s in a way that could have never been achieved otherwise.
The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers; we buy more but enjoy them less. We’ve learnt how to make a living but not a life, we’ve added years to life, but not life to years. And it is time for us to choose whether to make a difference in our life.
