My dear friends,
Good morning every,my name is sam,it’s my honor to give you a speech, today i am going to tell you a story about mother love, and the topic of the story is the child’s guardian angel.
Once upon a time there was a child really to be born.so one day he asked god ``they tell me you will send me to the earth tomorrow but how am i going to live there being so small and helpless.''
God answered:“among the many angels, ichose one for you.she will be waiting for you and will take care of you.”
“in heaven,i don't do anything else but sing and smile, that's enough for me to be happy.”
“your angel will sing for you and will also smile for you everyday, and you will fell your angel's love and be very happy.”
“and how can i understand when people talk to me.”the child continued.
God patted him on the head and said: “your angel will tell you the most beautiful and sweet words ,and will teach you how to speak.”
“I'v heard there are many bad men on the earth, who will protect me?”
“Your angel will defend you with her life.”
At the moment there was much peace in heaven, but voices from the earth could already be heard.the child know he had to leave very soon.he asked god one more question softly, “oh,god, iam going to leave now, can you tell me my angel's name?”
God touched the child on the shoulder and answered: “your angel's name is not hard to remember, you will simply call her mommy.”
I will never forget this story, today i told it to more people and i’d like to point out :in the world, the greatest love of all is mother love.let us care about mother love and care about our life,i hope we all could live happily.
That's all, thank you very much for your attention.
一、每天监督孩子学习英语,至少非常钟;
I’m proud of being a teacher Wenyang Central Primary School Wu Jianjian Dear ladies and gentlemen,It’s my honor to stand here to make a speech topic today is “I’m proud of being a teacher”.
This summer I was lucky to take part in the summer English training for primary school of of my foreign teachers T.J. impressed me y morning and afternoon before classes,he always asked us to say “Teachers are the greatest profession in the world.”It influenced me very be a teacher may be not a good job,but I don’t regret my choice.
I always remembered a message from one of my happened on a spring student made rapid progress in the final sent me a said,“Dear Ms Wu,you treated me like my out your help,I could not make so much ks for your help.I love you forever,Ms you be happy every day.”I was excited to receive the my opinion,I just encouraged him often and taught him some learning it helped him a it,I knew my choice of being a teacher was right.I’m proud of being a teacher.
So, in my opinion, we teachers must pay more attention and patience to children and above all——love them. If you give a little love to children, you will get back a great deal.
So,I will try my best to put all my heart and soul in the teaching.I’ll regard every student as my own use I’m a hers are the greatest profession in the world. I’m proud of being a teacher. That’s k you.
no young man believes he shall ever die. it was a saying of my brother's, and a fine one. there is a feeling of eternity in youth, which makes us amend for everything. to be young is to be as one of the immortal gods. one half of time indeed is flown-the other half remains in store for us with all its countletreasures; for there is no line drawn, and we see no limit to our hopes and wishes. we make the coming age our own the vast, the unbounded prospect lies before us.
death. old age. are words without a meaning. that paby us like the idea air which we regard not. others may have undergone, or may still be liable to them-we "bear a charmed life“, which laughs to scorn all such sickly fancies. as in setting out on delightful journey, we strain our eager gaze forward bidding the lovely scenes at distance hail!
and see no end to the landscape, new objects presenting themselves as we advance; so, in the commencement of life, we set no bounds to our inclinations. nor to the unrestricted opportunities of gratifying them. we have as yet found no obstacle, no disposition to flag; and it seems that we can go on so forever. we look round in a new world, full of life, and motion, and ceaseleprogress; and feel in ourselves all the vigor and spirit to keep pace with it, and do not foresee from any present symptoms how we shall be left behind in the natural course of things, decline into old age, and drop into the grave. it is the simplicity, and as it were abstractedneof our feelings in youth, that (so to speak) identifies us with nature, and (our experience being slight and our passions strong) deludes us into a belief of being immortal like it. our short-lives connection with existence we fondly flatter ourselves, is an indissoluble and lasting union-a honeymoon that knows neither coldness, jar, nor separation. as infants smile and sleep, we are rocked in the cradle of our wayward fancies, and lulled into security by the roar of the universe around us0we quaff the cup of life with eager haste without draining it, instead of which it only overflows the more-objects prearound us, filling the mind with their magnitude and with the strong of desires that wait upon them, so that we have no room for the thoughts of deat
Someone said “we are reading the first verse of the first chapter of abook, whose pages are infinite”. I don’t know who wrote these words, but I’vealways liked them as a reminder that the future can be anything we want it tobe. We are all in the position of the farmers. If we plant a good seed ,we reapa good harvest. If we plant nothing at all, we harvest nothing at all.
We are young. “How to spend the youth?” It is a meaningful question. Toanswer it, first I have to ask “what do you understand by the word youth?” Youthis not a time of life, it’s a state of mind. It’s not a matter of rosy cheeks, red lips or supple knees. It’s the matter of the will. It’s the freshneof thedeep spring of life.
A poet said “To see a world in a grain of sand, and a heaven in a wildflower, hold infinity in the palm of your hand, and eternity in an hour. Severaldays ago, I had a chance to listen to a lecture. I learnt a lot there. I’d liketo share it with all of you. Let’s show our right palms. We can see three linesthat show how our love.career and life is. I have a short line of life.
What about yours? I wondered whether we could see our future in this way.Well, let’s make a fist. Where is our future?
Where is our love, career, and life? Tell me.Yeah, it is in our hands. Itis held in ourselves.
We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can gobetter itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. From thepast, we’ve learnt that the life is tough, but we are tougher. We’ve learnt thatwe can’t choose how we feel, but we can choose what about it. Failure doesn’tmean you don’t have it, it does mean you should do it in a different way.Failure doesn’t mean you should give up, it does mean you must try harder.
As what I said at the beginning, “we are reading the first verse of thefirst chapter of a book, whose pages are infinite”. The past has gone. Nothingwe do will change it. But the future is in front of us. Believe that what wegive to the world, the world will give to us. And from today on, let’s be theowners of ourselves, and speak out “We are the world, we are the future.”
Distinguished parents: good afternoon ladies and gentlemen thank you for your time to attend today's symposium today to attend the parents of the child belong to different degrees of obesity children's parents. Hope that through today's lecture help parents and children. As people living standard unceasing enhancement parenting and children's dietary structure changes nutrient rich combined with the only child's special status and unscientific feeding incidence of childhood obesity is gradually increasing. We are beginning to realize that: childhood obesity is not a lovely sign obese children in the study character and life and so on various aspects will have a lot of inconvenience. Thick Samuel therefore we should not rain completes the relevant publicity and education work take the necessary preventive measures in order to effectively control the occurrence ji. Kindergarten is important place the growth of preschool children's life so make good FeiPanEr project management and the prevention and control work is our kindergarten care teachers bounden duty.
In order to reduce and prevent children get fat we together with parents to discuss several problems: such as: what is the simple obesity? Simple obesity causes? Standards of obesity? Obesity can bring what harm? How to treat and so on. 1 what is the simple obesity? Obesity is due to the heat energy metabolic disorders the consumption of calories more than heat cause the body fat accumulation.
Childhood obesity has two season:
(1) infancy (that is within one year of age). In infancy the activities of the child is small have a long sleep eat nutritious food and some parents give their children eat don't control children eat a cry to him so it is easy to cause obesity. In infancy is fat children in two or three years later with the increase of children range range expansion obesity can be improved. But there are also children continue to get fat has maintained into adulthood.
(2) the early school age (i.e. 5-8 years). Moderate above simple obesity of children age began to get fat is mostly in the 5 s the obesity of children this period is mainly caused by bad way of life: on the one hand the traditional diet habits in affects children if eat and drink too much eating and drinking; On the other hand the western dietary patterns are interfered with domestic children's diets such as too much sweet food and western fast food drink soft drinks cause excessive intake of calories and exercise less over a long period of time. As a result the extra calories to fat obesity. In obese children in China we found that obese children love to eat all kinds of meat sweet love to drink good appetite eat fast don't want to eat vegetables. Cause the cause of obesity in addition to the thermal energy intake too much too little exercise meditation time too long wait for a reason genetic endocrine disorders can also cause obesity.
2 simple obesity causes?
(1) genetic factors. According to the relevant information the parents have the obesity the possibility of children obesity has 32 ~ 34%; Both parents are obese the incidence of child obesity increased to 50 ~ 60%. On the other hand 72% of fat children parents have at least one person also have obesity. And now have found a variety of genes associated with obesity.
Diction is eating too much and overnutrition. Obese children tend to eat a lot of high fat food sweet food especially the unlimited access to eat snacks and drink sweet drinks and these can cause obesity.
(3) movement. Parents were busy with work no time to accompany children play together always let the children stay at home such as TV children can not get enough exercise gradually becomes less physical static activities more and more such as watching TV playing video games and so on these can make children reduce activity fat growth. Fat kid inactivity inactive children become more fat the result is a vicious circle.
(4) parents have the wrong idea. Especially the parents of obese children think children as long as can eat is a good thing so the easiest way to produce a obese children.
(5) the poor eating habits. Investigation shows that the more the more obese likes to eat meat don't like to eat vegetables such as child piddle parents aren't paying attention. In addition children inadvertently desperately eat more snacks get into the habit of snacking so poor eating habits will appear fat. So for children's obesity should be in many ways to find the reason targeted for treatment.
hi! judges and friends,i’m very glad and excited that i have a chance like this to share my own experience of teaching with you.
the topic of my today’s lecture is better to teach a man fishing than to give him a fish ----cultivating good studying habits of students in english teaching.
school education is very important and useful. the students not only learn knowledge but also get an education. yet, no one can learn everything at school. the scientists, such as edison, newton, galileo and einstein, did not learn everything at school. they learned a lot of knowledge outside school or practice by themselves. a teacher, even he knows a lot, can’t teach his students everything. our job is to show our students how to learn, how to read and how to think. a good teacher with rich experience in teaching can teach his students the methods (ways) of study. through these methods the students are able to learn and get a lot of things by themselves.
since i became an english teacher over ten years ago, i have had a definite teaching thought: i teach my students not only english words and grammar but also methods of studying english by making full use of teaching materials so as to enable them to develop good studying habits bit by bit.
then, what are good studyi(请你继续关注本站)ng habits of students? in my opinion, they should include the following at least: the habit of previewing actively before class; the habit of listening intensively in class; the habit of reviewing carefully after class; the habit of completing homework independently; the habit of thinking deeply and actively; the habit of making notes during reading out of class; and good habits of reading aloud, memorizing, reciting, etc. those habits should contribute to assimilating english knowledge they have learned into their own ones, and promoting their abilities of listening, speaking, reading, and writing all round. so, as english teachers, we must be good at cultivating good studying interest of students, enable them to develop good studying habits and make english studying continue for their life.
the first is how to preview before class. i call for my students to preview well before class which will be learned next class. for new words and phrases in text, students should not only practice spelling but also understand their meanings according to sentences and context. for texts and dialogues, students may understand them through the use of notes, reference books or dictionaries at hand, searching topic paragraph or sentence, then try doing exercises after class. of all these can help them to find problems or questions as well as master the points that are important and difficult in text, which might lighten the pressure of students in new classes. this is a kind of good studying habit and of method available of training the ability to teach themselves. we should call for our students to last for practicing in a consistent way. in doing so, good studying habits can be developed ultimately.
the second is how to listen to class. teachers should make students develop good habits of concentrating on listening to class and questioning actively in class. only if listening to class in earnest, can students settle questions found when they previewed before class; only if raising doubts actively, can they develop abilities of thinking independently and innovating boldly. mr. ye shengtao once said, “a man should raise doubts when reading books, and settle doubts when running into them.” aristotle also said, “ doubts and curiosity precede thoughts.” and li zhengdao holds the similar idea, “to quest knowledge edge demands learning and questioning; to learn the answer is not the substance of knowledge.” so we can see, it is important to question actively and raise doubts boldly for studying. this is like sunshine and rain to the trees, little trees cannot grow into big ones without them. therefore, whether in class or after class, we should actively encourage students to question, to raise doubts, to have discussion, stimulate them to analyze questions and to seek approaches to settle them, and cultivate their spirits of thinking independently and innovating boldly.
the third is how to review and summarize. i always call for my students to go over what they have learned that day so as to have deeper impressions of the key contents, just like to see the film in their brains. it is very useful to strengthen the memory and the knowledge they have learned. besides, after a week or a month, students should summarize the related knowledge, homework and analyze papers. this is also good habit of studying. only in this way, can the learned knowledge be completed. it is of great help to get different thinking abilities for students.
the fourth is attitudes towards homework of students. good attitudes towards homework should involve writing it earnestly and normally, and completing it independently during a definite period. we should consider the homework after reading and amending, not only find the mistakes, including the spelling mistakes, but also analyze the reasons. i also together my students set up archives for mistakes and sum up all different types in order not to make the same mistakes during studying. keeping on doing as that until they form a habit. it can not only improve the students’ practical english level, but also help them to analyze and solve the problems.
besides that, reading and reciting is one of the effective methods to english studying. as we all know, reading is a way to input the information. during the reading, the movements of mouth and tongue can be reflected in brain and become mechanical memory, which is very useful to memorize the words and expressions. in this way, we can not only train the instinctive feel for the language of the students, but also increase the process of turning the language accumulation into the language application. this is just the goal for input. so in my english teaching, i often guide the reading and reciting to make the students have good memorial habit and develop their abilities to read and write.
now i seriously want to thank you for that. i had to take that picture. my mother always took photos of me at every progress point growing up. shesquo;d show off those photos to everyone who came to our house, and she would be so proud that i am here at my old stomping ground with all of you.
so, now graduates, itsquo;s certainly your day, but president price already reminded us itsquo;s mothe’s day – but you know women never get enough love, never. so the one day we have here to offer a deserved salute to those who bore us biologically and those who stood in as surrogates for many of our needs and wants – deserve some more love. i want all the graduates to stand up and give their mothers and their surrogate mothers some love. thank you.
now this is my first mothe’s day without my own mother, who i lost last august.
and while shesquo;s not here physically, i can still hear her voice when i reach a significant milestone or face what appears to be an insurmountable obstacle.
and if she were here today, i know exactly what she would say to you.
in response to your achievement, it would, no doubt, be crisp and compelling a show of support: you did it! and she would offer you a huge smile and an even bigger hug.
but she would also keep it real with you like she always did with me. she would tell you that your future, like any of ours, is going to be hard work. i can hear her say: lisa, listen to me and hear me clearly. adversity is like the agitator in the washing machine. it beats the heck out of the clothes, but theysquo;re clean when they come out.
If you're middle-aged and your memory's not what it used to be, check thebathroom scale, researchers warned, suggesting overweight people tend to scoremore poorly on tests of memory than their thinner peers do.
The findings suggest that a heavier weight in middle age may mean a higherrisk of dementia later in life.
Reporting in the journal Neurology, the researchers speculated that higherrates of cardiovascular disease or diabetes might help explain the link. Butit's also possible that substances produced by fat cells, such as the hormoneleptin, have direct effects on the brain.
The study compared mental abilities to body mass index (BMI), a
measurement of weight in relation to height used to define overweight andobesity. A BMI of 25 or more indicates overweight, and 30 or more is obese.
The study also investigated the relationships between BMI and cognitivefunction in 2,223 healthy men and women between the ages of 32 and 62 in Francethrough the use of four cognitive tests.
The study found a higher BMI was associated with lower cognitive test scores. Results from a test involving word memory recall show people with a BMI of 20remembered an average of nine out of 16 words, while people with a BMI of 30remembered an average of seven out of 16 words.
In the summer recess between freshman and sophomore years in college, I wasinvited to be an instructor at a high school leadership camp hosted by a collegein Michigan. I was already highly involved in most campus activities, and Ijumped at the opportunity.
About an hour into the first day of camp, amid the frenzy of icebreakersand forced interactions, I first noticed the boy under the tree. He was smalland skinny, and his obvious discomfort and shyness made him appear frail andfragile. Only 50 feet away, 200 eager campers were bumping bodies, playing, joking and meeting each other, but the boy under the tree seemed to want to beanywhere other than where he was. The desperate loneliness he radiated almoststopped me from approaching him, but I remembered the instructions from thesenior staff to stay alert for campers who might feel left out.
As I walked toward him I said, “Hi, my name is Kevin and I’m one of thecounselors. It’s nice to meet you. How are you?”
In a shaky, sheepish voice he reluctantly answered, “Okay, I guess.”
I calmly asked him if he wanted to join the activities and meet some newpeople. He quietly replied, “No, this is not really my thing.”
I could sense that he was in a new world, that this whole experience wasforeign to him. But I somehow knew it wouldn’t be right to push him, either. Hedidn’t need a pep talk, he needed a friend. After several silent moments, myfirst interaction with the boy under the tree was over.
At lunch the next day, I found myself leading camp songs at the top of mylungs for 200 of my new friends. The campers were eagerly participated. My gazewandered over the mass of noise and movement and was caught by the image of theboy from under the tree, sitting alone, staring out the window. I nearly forgotthe words to the song I was supposed to be leading. At my first opportunity, Itried again, with the same questions as before: “How are you doing? Are youokay?”
To which he again replied, “Yeah, I’m all right. I just don’t really getinto this stuff. ”
As I left the cafeteria, I too realized this was going to take more timeand effort than I had thought — if it was even possible to get through to him atall.
That evening at our nightly staff meeting, I made my concerns about himknown. I explained to my fellow staff members my impression of him and askedthem to pay special attention and spend time with him when they could.
The days I spend at camp each year fly by faster than any others I haveknown. Thus, before I knew it, mid-week had dissolved into the final night ofcamp and I was chaperoning the “last dance”. The students were doing all theycould to savor every last moment with their new “best friends” — friends theywould probably never see again.
As I watched the campers share their parting moments, I suddenly saw whatwould be one of the most vivid memories of my life. The boy from under the tree, who stared blankly out the kitchen window, was now a shirtless dancing wonder. He owned the dance floor as he and two girls proceeded to cut up a rug. Iwatched as he shared meaningful, intimate time with people at whom he couldn’teven look just days earlier. I couldn’t believe it was him. In October of mysophomore year, a late-night phone call pulled me away from my chemistry book. Asoft-spoken, unfamiliar voice asked politely, “Is Kevin there?”
“You’re talking to him. Who’s this?”
“This is Tom Johnson’s mom. Do you remember Tommy from leadership camp?”
The boy under the tree. How could I not remember? “Yes, I do”, I said.“He’s a very nice young man. How is he?”
An abnormally long pause followed, then Mrs. Johnson said, “My Tommy waswalking home from school this week when he was hit by a car and killed.”Shocked, I offered my condolences.
“I just wanted to call you”, she said, “because Tommy mentioned you so manytimes. I wanted you to know that he went back to school this fall withconfidence. He made new friends. His grades went up. And he even went out on afew dates. I just wanted to thank you for making a difference for Tom. The lastfew months were the best few months of his life.”
In that instant, I realized how easy it is to give a bit of yourself everyday. You may never know how much each gesture may mean to someone else. I tellthis story as often as I can, and when I do, I urge others to look out for theirown “boy under the tree.”
as we know, you have to learn how to fly much more independently instead of under your parents’ considerate protection when you get into college, which also means you will come across enormous questions that should be solved by yourself. from my point of view, those main problems can fall into three parts.
first of all, the complicated relationship. for one thing, you have to know how cultural differences function in your relationship and respect them. in addition, college students spend less time studying together owing to different courses’ choosing, which requires us to devote more energy to building relationship. for the other thing, it is also vital to communicate with your parents often by using mobile phones or other tools.
secondly, the temptations. the college serves us a more relaxed environment mixed with other temptations such as the internet, alcohols and so on. what’s more, the college teachers won’t compel you to study like before, you doze off or play cell phone in class, and you flee up the morning class because you get up too late. such too frequent behaviors will cripple your passion and enthusiasm towards life, so it is essential for us to resist these temptations and insist pursuing our own goals.
thirdly, the balance between study and work. most of us will choose to take a part time job to earn the extra money or just to exercise ourselves. but it is significant to keep a relatively balanced relationship between them since i always regard the study as our main task, so my principle is adjusting work to follow the schedule of study.
in conclusion, whatever issues we meet or miseries we suffer from, confront the hash reality head on, what we can do is remembering the past, living in the present and looking forward to the future.
My high school headteacher teaches my English. He is handsome. And he is very thin for hardwork. He is about forty years old. He looks serious. But in fact, he is kind, nice and warmhearted.
On the one hand, he is serious on study. Whoever doesn’t finish the homework or cheat in the exam, he will punish him or her badly. Sometimes he will let those students do doble homework or have another exam. Sometimes he will ask those students write reports on that behavior.
But when teaching us in class, he is so patient. It’s the same when asking him questions. On the other hand, he will play with us after class. Meanwhile, if anyone has any difficuty in study or daily life, he will give a hand without hesitation.
All in all, we love our headteacher, though sometimes he is serious. We like his responsibility. We also appreciate his spirit to work for students heart and soul.
i love english,it gives me a colorful dream.i hope i can travel around the world one day. with my good english, i can make friends with many people from different contries.i can see many places of great interests.i dream that i can go to london, because it is the birth place of english.
i also want to use my good english to introduce our great places to the english spoken people,i hope that they can love our country like us.
i know, rome was not built in a day. i believe that after continuous hard study, one day i can speak english very well.
if you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. so i believe as i love english everyday , it will love me too.
i am sure that i will realize my dream one day!
Miss Hou is my high school English teacher. Her English name is Jenny. She looks so weak that a strong wind may blow her away. She is not too tall, about 150cm. She is experiened of English teaching. She teaches me for three the other word, she is the only English teacher during my high school study. She is special.
She will show an English song to us before her class. A few days later, she will ask us to follow the singing on the tape. I can still remember some songs she taught us.
It is strang that she looks so weak, but no one in my class will against her word. I think maybe is because her own yone respects her. She is serious in work, so that our whole class’s English is good. Happily, she is our friend after class. She always palys badminton with us.
She is also ready to help us if we have any difficultiy. In my mind, a good teacher is more than a million books. And she will be my mentor forever. Jenny, my teacher, I love you.
The Spring Festival is the most important festival for the Chinese peopleand is when all family members get together, just like Christmas in theWest.
Waking up on New Year, everybody dresses up. First they extend greetings totheir parents. Then each child will get money as a New Year gift, wrapped up inred paper. People in northern China will eat jiaozi, or dumplings, forbreakfast, as they think "jiaozi" in sound means "bidding farewell to the oldand ushering in the new".
That Chinese people pay more attention to be polite, while it is differentfrom other countries .And chinese culture is brilliant and they know how to usea brush to write
Now dragon is the symbol of the whole Chinese people.
Dragon is a animal worshipped by the Chinese people from the timeimmemorial. But what is it? No one knows.
Some people think that the Yanzi crocodile is the archetype of the dragon. However, most people hold that dragon is a combination of many animals. And theabilities of those animals have been collected to it. Wang Chong, once pointedthat the horn of dragon liked deer's one, the head liked camel's one, the eyesliked rabbit's one, the neck liked snake's one, the talon liked eagle's one, thepalm liked tiger's one and the ear liked cattle's one.
Never Give Up
“If I could reach higher, just for one moment to touch the sky…”---this is from my favorite song Reach.
When we are appreciating the passionate melody of Gloria Estefan, we could hardly imagine that she could return to the stage after her paralysis. In the year 1990, this Cuban singer was knocked down in a traffic accident, and the doctor declared that she might never walk again. But Gloria did not give up and kept up constant exercising. Just one year after the disaster, she stood up again and presented this encouraging song at the Atlanta Olympics.
Whenever I think of Gloria, I can’t help recalling my memory seven years ago, when I first entered university. Naturally shy, ordinary looking, average scores in study, just like an ugly duckling, I seemed to be the least outstanding one in my class. And the successive failures in the beginning led me into despair. “Am I destined to take the back seat to others?” Unwilling to submit to the fate, I paid more efforts on my study as well as many other activities, film dubbing, recital, drama… cause I just want to catch every little opportunity to prove myself. Constant effort yields sure success. Thanks to the competition, I received some awards and most of all, I gained the courage and confidence to face any difficulties in my life journey.
Life is just like farming, and what you can reap depends a lot on your sowing and dedication. Once you have a dream, don’t be hesitant. Your next difficult step may be the one to the top. Keep going forward, even in the toughest time, and never give up.
my simple teaching life
good morning ,teachers and students. my name is fuxian from songzhuang primary school. the name of my speech is >is my greatest honor to be here today. i would like to share my english learning and teaching experience with you .
i studied english educashion at my college. i chose this major just because its tuition was not high at that time. then half a year before my graduation i came to shandong to be an english teacher. far away from my hometown. then i have lived here for 7 years and taught for 7 years too. i love teaching. i love talking to my students.
how do i enjoy myself with my students? i don’t think i can express how i love my students in a few words. i just know, they are the future of china; they are infinity in my hand. what could i do with them? to wait, to be patient, to expect and to love. from them, every teacher must see their future, teaching and guiding them responsibly.
and then, as teachers, not only do we need to be friendly to them, but also all the time we have to be ready for helping them. once two girls in my class went out for wandering from home without telling anyone else including their patents. in fact, they just wanted to escape from the family, which was full of quarreling. it’s not hard to imagine how worried their parents were! but they had no way to communicate with them, nor find them. as class teacher, there was no time. i decided quickly to help the holpless parents. and i tried to contact with their classmates to make sure what they had talked about the going before. then i spent the whole night in looking for them with their parents in the city. after a long time searching, we found the girls . when they saw me, their class teacher, they cried loudly and sadly. everything was ok after they told me their complaints to parents. at that time, i knew, sometimes, the teacher was the very bridge between parents and their children. how important, how great to be a teacher is!
to me, my students are just like the wild flowers. can we see a world or heaven in them? the answer is definitely yes. if you want to enjoy yourself while teaching, respect and love your students as their friends; work hard with full responsibility.
so, what is responsibility? from my point of view, responsibility is accepting what you are facing -- and not complaining your students. responsibility is holding your students' hands and reminding them to watch both ways before crossing their road. when there is something difficult in front of students, responsibility is helping them over them. when your students are in a trouble, responsibility is being there on time to help and guide them -- even if that means you will miss your favorite things.
because i love my students, then i enjoy myself with full is why i together with you,try our best to be an excellent english teacher today!
thank you very much for your attention!
good morning, dear teachers and fellow students. it’s my great honor tostand here and share a happy morning with you. i am no. _____ . today my topicis “ so much to learn.”
hello! my dear friends !do you like reading books? i guess all of you willsay yes. am i right? thanks to books, we have got a lot of knowledge. on theother hand, tv is another way of getting knowledge. i still remember: last year,i watched an exciting speech on tv. it was given by american president obama, icould feel his great charm. i admire him. yeah, at that time i made a decision:i try to learn english well and some day i can have a talk with him. however,it’s a pity that my english is not so perfect. what can i do? how can i do it?ah, so much to learn. don’ t lose heart! just do it! i say to myself aloud. ifyou set up your mind to learn it, you will get much knowledge. i am sure youwill achieve your goal.
ok! so much knowledge for us to learn. we should do our best to learn it.we must try our best to learn it as much as possible. because knowledge can makeus be learned and wise; because knowledge can make our country develop veryfast; because knowledge can make our world be in harmony. ok! let’s keeptrying!
as you know, now i am a junior high school student. my school life is verywonderful and there are so many interesting subjects for us to learn, such aschinese, english, maths, history, and so on. ok, let me tell you something aboutmy school life. i hope you will enjoy it. in my chinese lesson, i can recite theold wise sayings: “ isn’t it a pleasure that friends come to see you from faraway?” “ what you know, you know; what you don’t know, you don’t know.” thesewords are so educational. meanwhile, i like english very much. in my englishclass, i try to practice my oral english. ok, i have a dream that some day i cantravel around the world and make many foreign friends. all right! historylessons bring us much enjoyment, and i can have a talk with the great people inhistory, such as conficius, qinshihuang, dr.sun yat-sen, and so on.
at last, i would like to say, we shouldn’t waste time, life is limitedwhile knowledge is boundless. aha, there is so much to learn. maybe you likereading; maybe you like singing;… maybe you have a lot of other hobbies, itdoesn’t matter, if you like it, just learn it. just do it. don’t hesitate.knowledge is power. there is no choice but to learn. what’s more, you are nevertoo old to learn. am i right? my friends, open your eyes, can you see the flameof knowledge burning forever? yeah, i can see it. i can see it clearly. come on,boys and girls, ladies and gentlemen. let’s swim in the ocean of knowledge;let’s climb on the top of knowledge. at that time, you will be a learned personwith much knowledge. you will be the happiest person in the world.
We've all been taught that we should help people. It is the right thing to do and will make us popular with others. It may even win us favors in return. However, we must be realistic. We can't say yes to every request. If we did, we would fail or go crazy for sure. Sometimes we simply don't have the time to help. In this case, we must know how to say no politely.
There are several things you can do to project a good image in an interview. First of all, look like a winner. Dress conservatively and well, and you'll look like you're going to the top. Second, communicate clearly. C
When we need to say no, here is one method we can try. First, we should tell the truth. If we really can't do something, we should just say so. Second, we should remember to refuse requests politely. We must communicate clearly, but must also be sincere and sympathetic. A true friend will understand. Finally, we must not feel guilty about saying no. Sometimes refusing others is the right thing to do. It can save ourselves, and them, a lot of trouble. In short, we cannot please everyone all the time. Refusing favors is a part of life.
Hello everyone,
I’m happy to be here. I’d like to introduce myself.
My name is Yan Yuhan. My English name is Anita.
I’m 7 years old, I’m a student, I’m in class three grade one.
I am very glad to make a speech here! This time, I'd like to talk something about English. My topic is “I Love English”。
When I was young, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with others . Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.
Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.
I hope I can travel around the world one day. I want to go to London, because it is the birth place of English. If I can ride my bike in Cambridge university, I will be very happy.
I hope I can speak English with everyone in the world. I will introduce China to them, such as the Great Wall, the Forbidden City。
I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.
I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!
What I'd like to do today is talk about one of my favorite subjects, and that is the neuroscience of sleep.
Now, there is a sound -- (Alarm clock) -- aah, it worked -- a sound that is desperately, desperately familiar to most of us, and of course it's the sound of the alarm clock. And what that truly ghastly, awful sound does is stop the single most important behavioral experience that we have, and that's sleep. If you're an average sort of person, 36 percent of your life will be spent asleep, which means that if you live to 90, then 32 years will have been spent entirely asleep.
Now what that 32 years is telling us is that sleep at some level is important. And yet, for most of us, we don't give sleep a second thought. We throw it away. We really just don't think about sleep. And so what I'd like to do today is change your views, change your ideas and your thoughts about sleep. And the journey that I want to take you on, we need to start by going back in time.
"Enjoy the honey-heavy dew of slumber." Any ideas who said that? Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Yes, let me give you a few more quotes. "O sleep, O gentle sleep, nature's soft nurse, how have I frighted thee?" Shakespeare again, from -- I won't say it -- the Scottish play. [Correction: Henry IV, Part 2] (Laughter) From the same time: "Sleep is the golden chain that ties health and our bodies together." Extremely prophetic, by Thomas Dekker, another Elizabethan dramatist.
But if we jump forward 400 years, the tone about sleep changes somewhat. This is from Thomas Edison, from the beginning of the 20th century. "Sleep is a criminal waste of time and a heritage from our cave days." Bang. (Laughter) And if we also jump into the 1980s, some of you may remember that Margaret Thatcher was reported to have said, "Sleep is for wimps." And of course the infamous -- what was his name? -- the infamous Gordon Gekko from "Wall Street" said, "Money never sleeps."
What do we do in the 20th century about sleep? Well, of course, we use Thomas Edison's light bulb to invade the night, and we occupied the dark, and in the process of this occupation, we've treated sleep as an illness, almost. We've treated it as an enemy. At most now, I suppose, we tolerate the need for sleep, and at worst perhaps many of us think of sleep as an illness that needs some sort of a cure. And our ignorance about sleep is really quite profound.
Why is it? Why do we abandon sleep in our thoughts? Well, it's because you don't do anything much while you're asleep, it seems. You don't eat. You don't drink. And you don't have sex. Well, most of us anyway. And so therefore it's -- Sorry. It's a complete waste of time, right? Wrong. Actually, sleep is an incredibly important part of our biology, and neuroscientists are beginning to explain why it's so very important. So let's move to the brain.
Now, here we have a brain. This is donated by a social scientist, and they said they didn't know what it was, or indeed how to use it, so -- (Laughter) Sorry. So I borrowed it. I don't think they noticed. Okay. (Laughter)
The point I'm trying to make is that when you're asleep, this thing doesn't shut down. In fact, some areas of the brain are actually more active during the sleep state than during the wake state. The other thing that's really important about sleep is that it doesn't arise from a single structure within the brain, but is to some extent a network property, and if we flip the brain on its back -- I love this little bit of spinal cord here -- this bit here is the hypothalamus, and right under there is a whole raft of interesting structures, not least the biological clock. The biological clock tells us when it's good to be up, when it's good to be asleep, and what that structure does is interact with a whole raft of other areas within the hypothalamus, the lateral hypothalamus, the ventrolateral preoptic nuclei. All of those combine, and they send projections down to the brain stem here. The brain stem then projects forward and bathes the cortex, this wonderfully wrinkly bit over here, with neurotransmitters that keep us awake and essentially provide us with our consciousness. So sleep arises from a whole raft of different interactions within the brain, and essentially, sleep is turned on and off as a result of a range of
Okay. So where have we got to? We've said that sleep is complicated and it takes 32 years of our life. But what I haven't explained is what sleep is about. So why do we sleep? And it won't surprise any of you that, of course, the scientists, we don't have a consensus. There are dozens of different ideas about why we sleep, and I'm going to outline three of those.
The first is sort of the restoration idea, and it's somewhat intuitive. Essentially, all the stuff we've burned up during the day, we restore, we replace, we rebuild during the night. And indeed, as an explanation, it goes back to Aristotle, so that's, what, 2,300 years ago. It's gone in and out of fashion. It's fashionable at the moment because what's been shown is that within the brain, a whole raft of genes have been shown to be turned on only during sleep, and those genes are associated with restoration and metabolic pathways. So there's good evidence for the whole restoration hypothesis.
What about energy conservation? Again, perhaps intuitive. You essentially sleep to save calories. Now, when you do the sums, though, it doesn't really pan out. If you compare an individual who has slept at night, or stayed awake and hasn't moved very much, the energy saving of sleeping is about 110 calories a night. Now, that's the equivalent of a hot dog bun. Now, I would say that a hot dog bun is kind of a meager return for such a complicated and demanding behavior as sleep. So I'm less convinced by the energy conservation idea.
But the third idea I'm quite attracted to, which is brain processing and memory consolidation. What we know is that, if after you've tried to learn a task, and you sleep-deprive individuals, the ability to learn that task is smashed. It's really hugely attenuated. So sleep and memory consolidation is also very important. However, it's not just the laying down of memory and recalling it. What's turned out to be really exciting is that our ability to come up with novel solutions to complex problems is hugely enhanced by a night of sleep. In fact, it's been estimated to give us a threefold advantage. Sleeping at night enhances our creativity. And what seems to be going on is that, in the brain, those neural connections that are important, those synaptic connections that are important, are linked and strengthened, while those that are less important tend to fade away and be less important.
Okay. So we've had three explanations for why we might sleep, and I think the important thing to realize is that the details will vary, and it's probable we sleep for multiple different reasons. But sleep is not an indulgence. It's not some sort of thing that we can take on board rather casually. I think that sleep was once likened to an upgrade from economy to business class, you know, the equiavlent of. It's not even an upgrade from economy to first class. The critical thing to realize is that if you don't sleep, you don't fly. Essentially, you never get there, and what's extraordinary about much of our society these days is that we are desperately sleep-deprived.
So let's now look at sleep deprivation. Huge sectors of society are sleep-deprived, and let's look at our sleep-o-meter. So in the 1950s, good data suggests that most of us were getting around about eight hours of sleep a night. Nowadays, we sleep one and a half to two hours less every night, so we're in the six-and-a-half-hours-every-night league. For teenagers, it's worse, much worse. They need nine hours for full brain performance, and many of them, on a school night, are only getting five hours of sleep. It's simply not enough. If we think about other sectors of society, the aged, if you are aged, then your ability to sleep in a single block is somewhat disrupted, and many sleep, again, less than five hours a night. Shift work. Shift work is extraordinary, perhaps 20 percent of the working population, and the body clock does not shift to the demands of working at night. It's locked onto the same light-dark cycle as the rest of us. So when the poor old shift worker is going home to try and sleep during the day, desperately tired, the body clock is saying, "Wake up. This is the time to be awake." So the quality of sleep that you get as a night shift worker is usually very poor, again in that sort of five-hour region. And then, of course, tens of millions of people suffer from jet lag. So who here has jet lag? Well, my goodness gracious. Well, thank you very much indeed for not falling asleep, because that's what your brain is craving.
One of the things that the brain does is indulge in micro-sleeps, this involuntary falling asleep, and you have essentially no control over it. Now, micro-sleeps can be sort of somewhat embarrassing, but they can also be deadly. It's been estimated that 31 percent of drivers will fall asleep at the wheel at least once in their life, and in the U.S., the statistics are pretty good: 100,000 accidents on the freeway have been associated with tiredness, loss of vigilance, and falling asleep. A hundred thousand a year. It's extraordinary. At another level of terror, we dip into the tragic accidents at Chernobyl and indeed the space shuttle Challenger, which was so tragically lost. And in the investigations that followed those disasters, poor judgment as a result of extended shift work and loss of vigilance and tiredness was attributed to a big chunk of those disasters.
So when you're tired, and you lack sleep, you have poor memory, you have poor creativity, you have increased impulsiveness, and you have overall poor judgment. But my friends, it's so much worse than that.
(Laughter)
If you are a tired brain, the brain is craving things to wake it up. So drugs, stimulants. Caffeine represents the stimulant of choice across much of the Western world. Much of the day is fueled by caffeine, and if you're a really naughty tired brain, nicotine. And of course, you're fueling the waking state with these stimulants, and then of course it gets to 11 o'clock at night, and the brain says to itself, "Ah, well actually, I need to be asleep fairly shortly. What do we do about that when I'm feeling completely wired?" Well, of course, you then resort to alcohol. Now alcohol, short-term, you know, once or twice, to use to mildly sedate you, can be very useful. It can actually ease the sleep transition. But what you must be so aware of is that alcohol doesn't provide sleep, a biological mimic for sleep. It sedates you. So it actually harms some of the neural proccessing that's going on during memory consolidation and memory recall. So it's a short-term acute measure, but for goodness sake, don't become addicted to alcohol as a way of getting to sleep every night.
Another connection between loss of sleep is weight gain. If you sleep around about five hours or less every night, then you have a 50 percent likelihood of being obese. What's the connection here? Well, sleep loss seems to give rise to the release of the hormone ghrelin, the hunger hormone. Ghrelin is released. It gets to the brain. The brain says, "I need carbohydrates," and what it does is seek out carbohydrates and particularly sugars. So there's a link between tiredness and the metabolic predisposition for weight gain.
Stress. Tired people are massively stressed. And one of the things of stress, of course, is loss of memory, which is what I sort of just then had a little lapse of. But stress is so much more. So if you're acutely stressed, not a great problem, but it's sustained stress associated with sleep loss that's the problem. So sustained stress leads to suppressed immunity, and so tired people tend to have higher rates of overall infection, and there's some very good studies showing that shift workers, for example, have higher rates of cancer. Increased levels of stress throw glucose into the circulation. Glucose becomes a dominant part of the vasculature and essentially you become glucose intolerant. Therefore, diabetes 2. Stress increases cardiovascular disease as a result of raising blood pressure. So there's a whole raft of things associated with sleep loss that are more than just a mildly impaired brain, which is where I think most people think that sleep loss resides.
So at this point in the talk, this is a nice time to think, well, do you think on the whole I'm getting enough sleep? So a quick show of hands. Who feels that they're getting enough sleep here? Oh. Well, that's pretty impressive. Good. We'll talk more about that later, about what are your tips.
So most of us, of course, ask the question, "Well, how do I know whether I'm getting enough sleep?" Well, it's not rocket science. If you need an alarm clock to get you out of bed in the morning, if you are taking a long time to get up, if you need lots of stimulants, if you're grumpy, if you're irritable, if you're told by your work colleagues that you're looking tired and irritable, chances are you are sleep-deprived. Listen to them. Listen to yourself.
What do you do? Well -- and this is slightly offensive -- sleep for dummies: Make your bedroom a haven for sleep. The first critical thing is make it as dark as you possibly can, and also make it slightly cool. Very important. Actually, reduce your amount of light exposure at least half an hour before you go to bed. Light increases levels of alertness and will delay sleep. What's the last thing that most of us do before we go to bed? We stand in a massively lit bathroom looking into the mirror cleaning our teeth. It's the worst thing we can possibly do before we went to sleep. Turn off those mobile phones. Turn off those computers. Turn off all of those things that are also going to excite the brain. Try not to drink caffeine too late in the day, ideally not after lunch. Now, we've set about reducing light exposure before you go to bed, but light exposure in the morning is very good at setting the biological clock to the light-dark cycle. So seek out morning light. Basically, listen to yourself. Wind down. Do those sorts of things that you know are going to ease you off into the honey-heavy dew of slumber.
Okay. That's some facts. What about some myths?
Teenagers are lazy. No. Poor things. They have a biological predisposition to go to bed late and get up late, so give them a break.
We need eight hours of sleep a night. That's an average. Some people need more. Some people need less. And what you need to do is listen to your body. Do you need that much or do you need more? Simple as that.
Old people need less sleep. Not true. The sleep demands of the aged do not go down. Essentially, sleep fragments and becomes less robust, but sleep requirements do not go down.
And the fourth myth is, early to bed, early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise. Well that's wrong at so many different levels. (Laughter) There is no, no evidence that getting up early and going to bed early gives you more wealth at all. There's no difference in socioeconomic status. In my experience, the only difference between morning people and evening people is that those people that get up in the morning early are just horribly smug.
(Laughter) (Applause)
Okay. So for the last part, the last few minutes, what I want to do is change gears and talk about some really new, breaking areas of neuroscience, which is the association between mental health, mental illness and sleep disruption. We've known for 130 years that in severe mental illness, there is always, always sleep disruption, but it's been largely ignored. In the 1970s, when people started to think about this again, they said, "Yes, well, of course you have sleep disruption in schizophrenia because they're on anti-psychotics. It's the anti-psychotics causing the sleep problems," ignoring the fact that for a hundred years previously, sleep disruption had been reported before anti-psychotics.
So what's going on? Lots of groups, several groups are studying conditions like depression, schizophrenia and bipolar, and what's going on in terms of sleep disruption. We have a big study which we published last year on schizophrenia, and the data were quite extraordinary. In those individuals with schizophrenia, much of the time, they were awake during the night phase and then they were asleep during the day. Other groups showed no 24-hour patterns whatsoever. Their sleep was absolutely smashed. And some had no ability to regulate their sleep by the light-dark cycle. They were getting up later and later and later and later each night. It was smashed.
So what's going on? And the really exciting news is that mental illness and sleep are not simply associated but they are physically linked within the brain. The neural networks that predispose you to normal sleep, give you normal sleep, and those that give you normal mental health are overlapping. And what's the evidence for that? Well, genes that have been shown to be very important in the generation of normal sleep, when mutated, when changed, also predispose individuals to mental health problems. And last year, we published a study which showed that a gene that's been linked to schizophrenia, which, when mutated, also smashes the sleep. So we have evidence of a genuine mechanistic overlap between these two important systems.
Other work flowed from these studies. The first was that sleep disruption actually precedes certain types of mental illness, and we've shown that in those young individuals who are at high risk of developing bipolar disorder, they already have a sleep abnormality prior to any clinical diagnosis of bipolar. The other bit of data was that sleep disruption may actually exacerbate, make worse the mental illness state. My colleague Dan Freeman has used a range of agents which have stabilized sleep and reduced levels of paranoia in those individuals by 50 percent.
So what have we got? We've got, in these connections, some really exciting things. In terms of the neuroscience, by understanding the neuroscience of these two systems, we're really beginning to understand how both sleep and mental illness are generated and regulated within the brain. The second area is that if we can use sleep and sleep disruption as an early warning signal, then we have the chance of going in. If we know that these individuals are vulnerable, early intervention then becomes possible. And the third, which I think is the most exciting, is that we can think of the sleep centers within the brain as a new therapeutic target. Stabilize sleep in those individuals who are vulnerable, we can certainly make them healthier, but also alleviate some of the appalling symptoms of mental illness.
So let me just finish. What I started by saying is take sleep seriously. Our attitudes toward sleep are so very different from a pre-industrial age, when we were almost wrapped in a duvet. We used to understand intuitively the importance of sleep. And this isn't some sort of crystal-waving nonsense. This is a pragmatic response to good health. If you have good sleep, it increases your concentration, attention, decision-making, creativity, social skills, health. If you get sleep, it reduces your mood changes, your stress, your levels of anger, your impulsivity, and your tendency to drink and take drugs. And we finished by saying that an understanding of the neuroscience of sleep is really informing the way we think about some of the causes of mental illness, and indeed is providing us new ways to treat these incredibly debilitating conditions.
Jim Butcher, the fantasy writer, said, "Sleep is God. Go worship." And I can only recommend that you do the same.
Thank you for your attention.

第一,课堂英语枯燥乏味。在课堂上,教师比较注重生词与语法点,而对一些比较有趣的知识(比如中英文化差异)则只是一言而过,无法引起学生学习的兴趣,并且同学们开口机会少,这也是导致产生“哑巴英语”的因素之一;
第二,英语生词难以掌握,课后习题量过多。难背的英语单词让不少同学烦恼,而课后可怕的“题海”使同学们坠入一个个深渊。对英语不少同学都是敬而远之;
My name is jake。 I’m jake。很明显I’m jake。要远远好于My name is jake。
M: Excuse me may I take a photo with you?
F: Certainly!(No problem!)(Of Course!)(OKplease do.)(Surego ahead.)
M: So I will make a good pose.
F: Wellonce again?
M: Suremy next pose is like this.
……
M: Thank you very much.
F: Don't mention it. Goodbyepretty girl.
M: Bye.
enjoy yourself with full responsibility
chongqing 49 middle shoolyangsen
good morning , dear judges name is yangsen ,and i’m from shilinmiddle shool, the name of my speech is >is my greatest honor to be here today. i would like to share my english learning and teaching experience with you .
i could remember english has been my favorite since my junior high school. at that time i had a dream that one day my job must be something that connects with r graduating from university, i started my job in teaching english. then i realized the true of being an english teacher. in addition, if knowledge is a bridge to success, then an english teacher must be a bridge for students to learn a foreign language, a bridge to aid students’ communication with foreigners, a bridge to share our chinese culture with others.
to me, my students are just like the wild flowers. can we see a world or heaven in them? the answer is definitely yes. if you want to enjoy yourself while teaching, respect and love your students as their friends; work hard with full responsibility.
how do i enjoy myself with my students? i don’t think i can express how i love my students in a few words. i just know, they are the future of china; they are infinity in my hand. what could i do with them? to wait, to be patient, to expect and to love. from them, every teacher must see their future, teaching and guiding them responsibly.
over three years passed by, the first day of new semester was coming finally. as a new teacher of the school, i had something in common with my students, who were new faces. sitting in the classroom, since both of us were nervous, i showed a smile to them. at last, they relaxed themselves, smile was passed on to next. then all of them were smiling. at that time, i began to introduce myself to them. so interested in me, they all listened to me with full heart. of course i had chance to know something about them. one of them even was so excited with red face when she knew she and i had the same birthday. when i made a joke on her about her red apple face, the classroom burst out of laugh. no matter how different they are, in my eyes, everyone of them is like a waiting flower----waiting for growth. from then on, i had been in good relationship with my students. how lovely and nice they are!
and then, as teachers, not only do we need to be friendly to them, but also all the time we have to be ready for helping them. once two girls in my class went out for wandering from home without telling anyone else including their patents. in fact, they just wanted to escape from the family, which was full of quarreling. it’s not hard to imagine how worried their parents were! but they had no way to communicate with them, nor find them. as class teacher, there was no time. i decided quickly to help the holpless parents. and i tried to contact with their classmates to make sure what they had talked about the going before. then i spent the whole night in looking for them with their parents in the city. after a long time searching, we found the girls in wangsheng. when they saw me, their class teacher, they cried loudly and sadly. everything was ok after they told me their complaints to parents. at that time, i knew, sometimes, the teacher was the very bridge between parents and their children. how important, how great to be a teacher is!
thirdly, to be a teacher we need to know what responsibility is. as everyone knows, the chinese boy, hong zhanhui is one of the man who moves china. he began to rear his little sister since he was 13, the age at which we enjoy mother’arms. without parents, he has to earn enough money for their life while he is studying at the same time. everyday, carrying his sister on his back, he went to school through miles path. when somebody asked him why he should kept doing this. he replied briefly:” this is my responsibility! ” from his story, we know that responsibility is not an easy thing. is only what hong zhanhui done can be called responsibility? of course no. everyone has his responsibility and responsibility exists everywhere in everyone’s daily life especially we teachers’.
so, what is responsibility? from my point of view, responsibility is accepting what you are facing -- and not complaining your students. responsibility is holding your students' hands and reminding them to watch both ways before crossing their road. when there is something difficult in front of students, responsibility is helping them over them. when your students are in a trouble, responsibility is being there on time to help and guide them -- even if that means you will miss your favorite things.
just imagine the world without responsibility. your students are the waiting flowers. tomorrow, whatever they will be, it all depends on their hard working and the teachers’ love. wonderful world, isn’t it? responsibility is not a burden if you are willing to shoulder it. the teacher who loves his/her students will not only succeed but also get a happy life and enjoy themselves.
because i love my students, then i enjoy myself with full is why i together with you,try our best to be an excellent english teacher today! thank you very much for your attention!
In order to create a strong atmosphere of learning advanced and striving to be advanced, the leading group of Sichuan Provincial Party Committee"s theme education of "never forget the original intention and keep in mind the mission" recently issued a notice to carry out learning activities from Comrade Zhou Yongkai in the theme education.
Zhou Yongkai joined the CPC in 1945 at the age of 17 and worked underground. After the founding of New China, he held a leading position. After his retirement, he resolutely chose to take root in Huacalyx Mountain, become a mountain keeper, engage in philanthropic public welfare undertakings, and also vigorously spread and promote the red culture.
There is no end to life and no end to struggle. Comrade Zhou Yongkai has always attached great importance to the cause of the Party and the people, and has striven for the cause of communism all his life. He has interpreted the original mission of the Communists with practical actions, demonstrated the political character of loyalty and clean responsibility of Party members and cadres, and displayed the vanguard image of the Communist Party members. His advanced deeds are a spiritual and spiritual baptism for the Communists. He is the representative of excellent Communist Party members, sets a learning benchmark for each Party member, and is an example for each Party member to learn.
Learning from Comrade Zhou Yongkai is of great significance for the Communist Party members to cultivate their political character of being loyal, clean and responsible, to carry forward the fine style of being practical and honest for the people, and to boost the spirit of doing things, starting businesses, and taking on responsibilities. Communists should learn from his revolutionary spirit and belief, keep in mind the identity of Communists at all times, stick to their original aspiration, be loyal to the Party, listen to the Party"s words and follow the Party forever. We should learn from his pioneering and exemplary spirit of taking on the mission, persevering in struggle, daring to face up to contradictions, brave to fight forward, working hard, pioneering and enterprising, knowing the heavy burden and overcoming difficulties. Learn from his feelings of serving the people wholeheartedly and selflessly, serving the people wholeheartedly, and consciously wanting and working with the people. Learn from his political nature of being indifferent to fame and wealth, honest in performing his duties, clean in life, clean in work, and pragmatic and honest for the people.
An example is a visible philosophy, and its deeds are the most persuasive. An example is the inexhaustible strength of our generations of Communists. We should firmly take the advanced model as an example, learn from the advanced model, tell a good story of the advanced model, and constantly carry forward the positive energy of society.
Tomorrow will be better
Good morning, ladies and gentlemen, I’m very happy to be making a speechhere. Today my topic is “Tomorrow will be better. ”
China born and China bred, I love China very much. I’m proud that I havegot the beautiful yellow skin, black eyes and black hair. I’m also proud that Ispeak the most beautiful language in the world——Chinese. When I heard thatChina, our motherland, would have a chance to hold the 20xx Olympic Games, Ifelt very happy and excited, and I hoped I could do something useful to buildChina into a beautiful and energetic country.
In the 21st century, the environment is becoming more and more important,so we have "Green Olympic" as a slogan. Of course a slogan is just a goal. Themost important thing is that we should do some things to make it true. Such assorting the trash, saving the energy and so on. We are still students now, so wecan't do anything really big, but if everybody does something good for ourenvironment, we could make our motherland more beautiful.
In fact, the things we can do are easy. Like not littering used batterieseverywhere, sorting the trash that we want to throw away, and also protectingthe animals and plants around us.
Luckily, I had a chance to take part in an activity, that is, we planted 5trees everybody in our campus. My classmates and I worked very hard. Thisactivity is not only about planting trees, but also contributing to ourenvironment. Look at the trees, I believe, tomorrow there will be more trees andflowers standing in our campus and giving Chinese people a beautifulenvironment.
We are all Chinese people, living on the earth. We have only onemotherland——China, just like we have only one earth. If we don't beautify ourenvironment, who will? Good environment depends on good human consciousness. Weshould say that protecting our surroundings is not easy, that's why I'm standinghere to summon people do it.
If we do this from the bottom of our hearts tomorrow, China will be morebrilliant, it will have blue skies, white clouds and cleaner rivers. Who doesn'twant China to become more and more beautiful? If we do our best, tomorrow willbe better!
Thank you for your listening! Thank you all!
