friendship is to our life what salt is to dasher. when you are happy friendship is just like adding flowers on the brocade; when you are sad friendship is a dose of consolation; if you are in trouble friends will surround you and remove the barriers for you; if you have a hard nut to crack you can turn to friends for help.

At age 10, he tried to drown himself in 4 inches of water,but did not go through with it out of love for his parents. After praying togrow arms and legs, Vujicic eventually realized that his accomplishments couldinspire others – and became grateful for his life. A key turning point came whenhis mother showed him a newspaper article about a man dealing with a severedisability. Vujicic realized he wasn't unique in his struggles and began toembrace and transcend his disability.
This man, the soldier of life, came to my hometown 2 months ago. I got tolisten to him, and talk to him, face to face. I could never forget the look inhis face when he said “when I was young, I always feel cold, and dark. My firstdream was to grow arms and legs, but there is no future for me at all. ” Andnow, 28 years has passed since he was born, 28 years without arms and legs.Nick’s first dream didn't come true, but he didn't lose his faith of himself,and the faith of this life.

Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English. The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words. Some may have problems in reading. Others may have trouble in writing. I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening. For example, when tested for listening comprehension, I couldn't understand a single sentence, let alone a passage of medium level.
In order to overcome the difficulty in my English learning, I made great efforts to find the key to the problem. I consulted my teacher and found out that I merely didn't have enough time to practice listening. So I bought a tape recorder and listened to it at least two hours a day. In addition, I listened to "Special English" on VOA. I also went out of my way to speak to foreigners on the campus whenever we meet so that I could have the chance to listen to the native speakers. After half a year's hard work, I could get 70% of the questions correct in listening comprehension tests.

As for as I am concerned ,my biggest pressure is the job hunting. Nowadays, the growth of the students' number has surpassed that of the need of the society. I often suffer from the stress and feel anxious. I usually afraid that I will not get a good job after graduating from my college.I sometimes get tired of this fast pace of life, too.
To reduce my pressure, I often try some physical activities which can relieve my anxiety. In addition, I sometimes enjoy listening to music and singing loudly follow the songs. Now, I become very confident in my future, and I do believe I can get an ideal job after my graduation.

Study pressure always troubling me. Grown up, more work gradually like hills. Over two thousand years ago, Confucius, the greatest educator and the idea of “building a world of Datong”. What is “Datong”? In modern peoples eyes, it means “Great Unity”. It refers to a world in which everyone, rich or poor, noble or humble, plays his part appropriately and everything is righteously placed and distributed. It seems that only those illustrious figures like state leaders or great scholars and scientists have the obligation to shoulder this dream of establishing “great unity.” It seems that such an ordinary sophomore in college like me has nothing to do with the realization of this lofty dream. If you should think so, ladies and gentlemen, I am afraid you are wrong, for tonight, I am here to say that as a Chinese, I strongly feel the call of duty from my soul. I am studying here in college to carry on this dream, and I am confident enough to say that I can make my contribution to shape the face of future China. You may say that youve been fed up with such clichs as “studying hard” or “protecting the environment”. Well, I feel exactly the same. We know it is difficult to learn English. My English is very good. I learnEnglish like this.
I Listen to the teacher carefully and write the important points down on mynotebooks. After class I revise the lessons. Before class I prepare new lessonsto find out the questions. Then I will listen carefully in class.
I also listen to the tape, and speak English with my classmates in theclassroom and on the playground. It’s to improve my listening and speaking.
I keep a diary every day to practise my written English.
Besides this, I often read English newspapers and magazines to enrich myknowlege on English culture.
We will learn English well so long as we learn it hard.

We Are Family 20xx is a special year for Beijing for the Olympic Games. It is a special year for me too. I watched 8 games. The Olympic Games let me know, for all of the people in the world, we are family. In the 16 days, I saw different people from different countries. I heard different languages in the world. I sat next to English, American, Canadian and Korean when watching hockey games. I shouted “Go! Go! Go!” with Argentinian and Serbian when watching football match. In the Olympic Park, Australian friends shared their small gifts with Russian, German, French and Chinese. Everybody from different countries smiled at each other. Everybody was friendly to each other in these 16 days.
