Most Chinese students have difficulties in learning English. The difficulties vary so much from person to person that it is difficult to cite here in a few words. Some may have problems in reading. Others may have trouble in writing. I also had problems in English learning, but my difficulty seemed to lie in listening. For example, when tested for listening comprehension, I couldn't understand a single sentence, let alone a passage of medium level.
In order to overcome the difficulty in my English learning, I made great efforts to find the key to the problem. I consulted my teacher and found out that I merely didn't have enough time to practice listening. So I bought a tape recorder and listened to it at least two hours a day. In addition, I listened to "Special English" on VOA. I also went out of my way to speak to foreigners on the campus whenever we meet so that I could have the chance to listen to the native speakers. After half a year's hard work, I could get 70% of the questions correct in listening comprehension tests.
I own my success to my English teacher. It is him who tells me the correct way to learn English. It is him who always encourages me when I encounter difficulties and feel disappointed.
Nowadays, mostpeople have their idols. Their idols may be singers, actors, athletes and soon. People can get or learn something from their idols. I like swimming verymuch and my idols is a swimmer. He is Sun Yang, the most famous and popularswimmer in our country. He is the gold medalist of London Olympic Games. He becamethe national icon last year, because he won the gold medal in Shanghai WorldSwimming Championships and broke the world record. Expect for his excellent performance,Sun Yang is an attractive young man. He has warm smile and many lovely expressions.Besides, he sings well and he performs in many shows. People speak highly ofhis performance.
Is it good for students to do some housework.
Some people think studengts need not do any housework. They think the only thing students need do is to study well. I dont think so. It is good for students to do some housework for three reason.
Firstly,to do some housework can make you independent. You cant depend on others all your life. So,you should learn to do some housework now.
Secondly, to do some housework can keep you healthy and strong ,some hard housework can be regarded as a kind of physical exercise.
Finally, to do some housework can share your parents work. They must be happy if you say” Have a rest, and I will do the housework”
So I think it is good for students to do some housework.
Now ，with the development of science and technology，it's a trend that the world is becoming smaller and smaller.The international trade has become an important part in the business field,so it's vital for us to learn English well. To learn English well,you need a lot of patience and stamina.well，I do come across some difficulties.It's all right for me to write in English.However,the spoken English isn's so easy for me.
There's few opportunity for me to listen and speak to native speakers,so I have problem in speaking .
But it doesn't matter.Since then ,I always listen to the BBC learning English as well as VOA ,I learn their voice by heart and try to imitate it .Before long ,my spoken English get improved.Hence,there's no difficulty as long as you have a willing learning English well,you must believe in yourself and try your best every time you meet an day ,you'll succeed.
Each person whether rich or poor has his own difficulties, because life is not always full of smiles and flowers. So it is very important to have a correct attitude to face up the difficulties.
Different people have different views on it. Some people just want to evade and they haven’t tried their best, so they can’t achieve success in the end. But some people believe that “Failure is the mother of success”,they are confident and brave when they have difficulties. They choose to face up the difficulties with a smile and try their best to solve their problems. If they have troubles they’ll discuss with their friends or family members.
The right way to face up difficulties is to be confident and brave , Confront difficulties with confident and you will find the difficulties are not so hard as you thought. Try to solve the difficulties with brave and work hard , the difficulties will disappear and you will achieve success finally.
Is your definition of success a fatal mistake?
For some, success is defined in terms of the dollar amount on a paycheck. For others, it's the title on their business card. Others may define success in terms of the accolades and awards they have won.
But the problem with how people define success these days is that when they're forced to change it, they can't. Look at the businessmen who have committed suicide because they have lost fortunes. Consider the workers who are fired and then go back to work, armed with a gun.
Extreme cases, sure. Not everyone considers killing themselves or others when their livelihood is threatened. But it does point out that maybe we need to revisit our own definition of success.

After you complete this sentence, then review it and determine if you're on the path to achieving that success. If you were to lose your job or money tomorrow, would your definition of success still be valid? Or, would you consider yourself a failure?
I remember a job where I worked long, stressful hours and often labored for a boss who had mood swings like a freaking roller coaster. It made for a tense situation, to say the least. One day I was talking to a co-worker and the exhaustion was overwhelming. I felt so dissatisfied, frustrated and even angry. Then it hit me: If I died that day, I didn't want the only thing on my tombstone to be "Always met her deadlines."
Ugh, I remember thinking. I wanted my life to account for more than that. It wasn't until months later that I started making some real changes in my life, changes that I know made me much better able to balance my life and devote time and effort to more than my job.
Right now, times are tough and some of us are beginning to panic. But I think it's a golden opportunity to really think about what is important in your life, and weed out the things that don't really matter.
You are the one who must define what success is to you. One thing I know for sure: You are more than a job title, you are worth more than a number on a paycheck and you are more than an award to hang on your wall. Is the destination you have in mind worth the road you must travel? Only you can answer that.
