Today, I have a speech for everyone, "I grew up with books." Book, allowing you more intelligent; books, textbooks can not tell you things. After reading a book, like a piece of mining wealth. As you book the most loyal friends, but also a one of your other textbooks, books, can tell you that learning, knowledge, life insights, the book that lets you knowledgeable.

What kind of books to choose, often vary from person to person. We can according to their own interests and hobbies, choose suitable reading materials. Of course, a person's interests and hobbies can be adopted to develop the study.

Book back to me a lot of inspiration. I "on its own success" in the know to step up a second time, when to have a normal heart; I am from the "little story of great wisdom" to know a lot of celebrities in the growth of experience and growth allow people to feel admiration for the story.

Book is your friend, your family. As long as you are willing to find that is willing to explore. You must be from the book of Revelation that many textbooks have not learned so much knowledge! Let us work together in the book world book of knowledge as small fish, like sea travel it together!

经典英文演讲稿 2

The president:

Hello, everybody! Thank you. Thank you. Thank you, everybody. All right, everybody go ahead and have a seat. How is everybody doing today? (applause.) How about tim spicer? (applause.) I am here with students at wakefield high school in arlington, virginia. And we've got students tuning infromall across america, fromkindergarten through 12th grade. And i am just so glad that all could join us today. And i want to thank wakefield for being such an outstanding host. Give yourselves a big round of applause. (applause.)

I know that for many of you, today is the first day of school. And for those of you in kindergarten, or starting middle or high school, it's your first day in a new school, so it's understandable if you're a little nervous. I imagine there are some seniors out there who are feeling pretty good right now -- (applause) -- with just one more year to go. And no matter what grade you're in, some of you are probably wishing it were still summer and you could've stayed in bed just a little bit longer this morning.

I know that feeling. When i was young, my family lived overseas. I lived in indonesia for a few years. And my mother, she didn't have the money to sendme where all the american kids went to school, but she thought it was important for me to keep up with an american education. So she decided to teach me extra lessons herself, monday through friday. But because she had to go to work, the only time she could do it was at 4:30 in the morning.

Now, as you might imagine, i wasn't too happy about getting up that early. And a lot of times, i'd fall asleep right there at the kitchen table. But whenever i'd complain, my mother would just give me one of those looks and she'd say, "this is no picomic for me either, buster." (laughter.)

So i know that some of you are still adjusting to being back at school. But i'm here today because i have something important to discuss with you. I'm here because i want to talk with you about your education and what's expected of all of you in this new school year.

Now, i've given a lot of speeches about education. And i've talked about responsibility a lot.

I've talked about teachers' responsibility for inspiring students and pushing you to learn.

I've talked about your parents' responsibility for making sure you stay on track, and you get your homework done, and don't spendevery waking hour in front of the tv or with the xbox.

I've talked a lot about your government's responsibility for setting high standards, and supporting teachers and principals, and turning around schools that aren't working, where students aren't getting the opportunities that they deserve.

But at theendof the day, we can have the most dedicated teachers, the most supportive parents, the best schools in the world -- and none of it will make a difference, none of it will matter unless all of you fulfill your responsibilities, unless you show up to those schools, unless you pay attention to those teachers, unless you listen to your parents and grandparents and other adults and put in the hard work it takes to succeed. That's what i want to focus on today: the responsibility each of you has for your education.

I want to start with the responsibility you have to yourself. Every single one of you has something that you're good at. Every single one of you has something to offer. And you have a responsibility to yourself to discover what that is. That's the opportunity an education can provide.

Maybe you could be a great writer -- maybe even good enough to write a book or articles in a newspaper -- but you might not know it until you write that english paper -- that english class paper that's assigned to you. Maybe you could be an innovator or an inventor -- maybe even good enough to come up with the next iphone or the new medicine or vaccine -- but you might not know it until you do your project for your science class. Maybe you could be a mayor or a senator or a supreme court justice -- but you might not know that until you join student government or the debate team.

And no matter what you want to do with your life, i guarantee that you'll need an education to do it. You want to be a doctor, or a teacher, or a police officer? you want to be a nurse or an architect, a lawyer or a member of our military? you're going to need a good education for every single one of those careers. You cannot drop out of school and just drop into a good job. You've got to train for it and work for it and learn for it.

And this isn't just important for your own life and your own future. What you make of your education will decide nothing less than the future of this country. The future of america depends on you. What you're learning in school today will determine whether we as a nation can meet our greatest challenges in the future.

You'll need the knowledge and problem-solving skills you learn in science and math to cure diseases like cancer and aids, and to develop new energy technologies and protect our environment. You'll need the insights and critical-thinking skills you gain in history and social studies to fight poverty and homelessness, crime and discrimination, and make our nation more fair and more free. You'll need the creativity and ingenuity you develop in all your classes to build new companies that will create new jobs and boost our economy.

We need every single one of you to develop your talents and your skills and your intellect so you can help us old folks solve our most difficult problems. If you don't do that -- if you quit on school -- you're not just quitting on yourself, you're quitting on your country.

Now, i know it's not always easy to do well in school. I know a lot of you have challenges in your lives right now that can make it hard to focus on your schoolwork.

I get it. I know what it's like. My father left my family when i was two years old, and i was raised by a single mom who had to work and who struggled at times to pay the bills and wasn't always able to give us the things that other kids had. There were times when i missed having a father in my life. There were times when i was lonely and i felt like i didn't fit in.

So i wasn't always as focused as i should have been on school, and i did some things i'm not proud of, and i got in more trouble than i should have. And my life could have easily taken a turn for the worse.

But i was -- i was lucky. I got a lot of second chances, and i had the opportunity to go to college and law school and follow my dreams. My wife, our first lady michelle obama, she has a similar story. Neither of her parents had gone to college, and they didn't have a lot of money. But they worked hard, and she worked hard, so that she could go to the best schools in this country.

Some of you might not have those advantages. Maybe you don't have adults in your life who give you the support that you need. Maybe someone in your family has lost their job and there's not enough money to go around. Maybe you live in a neighborhood where you don't feel safe, or have friends who are pressuring you to do things you know aren't right.

But at theendof the day, the circumstances of your life -- what you look like, where you comefrom, how much money you have, what you've got going on at home -- none of that is an excuse for neglecting your homework or having a bad attitude in school. That's no excuse for talking back to your teacher, or cutting class, or dropping out of school. There is no excuse for not trying.

Where you are right now doesn't have to determine where you'llendup. No one's written your destiny for you, because here in america, you write your own destiny. You make your own future.

That's what young people like you are doing every day, all across america.

Young people like jazmin perez, fromroma, texas. Jazmin didn't speak english when she first started school. Neither of her parents had gone to college. But she worked hard, earned good grades, and got a scholarship to brown university -- is now in graduate school, studying public health, on her way to becoming dr. Jazmin perez.

I'm thinking about andoni schultz, fromlos altos, california, who's fought brain cancer since he was three. He's had toendure all sorts of treatments and surgeries, one of which affected his memory, so it took him much longer -- hundreds of extra hours -- to do his schoolwork. But he never fell behind. He's headed to college this fall.

And then there's shantell steve, frommy hometown of chicago, illinois. Even when bouncingfromfoster home to foster home in the toughest neighborhoods in the city, she managed to get a job at a local health care center, start a program to keep young people out of gangs, and she's on track to graduate high school with honors and go on to college.

And jazmin, andoni, and shantell aren't any differentfromany of you. They face challenges in their lives just like you do. In some cases they've got it a lot worse off than many of you. But they refused to give up. They chose to take responsibility for their lives, for their education, and set goals for themselves. And i expect all of you to do the same.

That's why today i'm calling on each of you to set your own goals for your education -- and do everything you can to meet them. Your goal can be something as simple as doing all your homework, paying attention in class, or spending some time each day reading a book. Maybe you'll decide to get involved in an extracurricular activity, or volunteer in your community. Maybe you'll decide to stand up for kids who are being teased or bullied because of who they are or how they look, because you believe, like i do, that all young people deserve a safe environment to study and learn. Maybe you'll decide to take better care of yourself so you can be more ready to learn. And along those lines, by the way, i hope all of you are washing your hands a lot, and that you stay homefromschool when you don't feel well, so we can keep peoplefromgetting the flu this fall and winter.

But whatever you resolve to do, i want you to commit to it. I want you to really work at it.

I know that sometimes you get that sensefromtv that you can be rich and successful without any hard work -- that your ticket to success is through rapping or basketball or being a reality tv star. chances are you're not going to be any of those things.

The truth is, being successful is hard. You won't love every subject that you study. You won't click with every teacher that you have. Not every homework assignment will seem completely relevant to your life right at this minute. And you won't necessarily succeed at everything the first time you try.

That's okay. Some of the most successful people in the world are the ones who've had the most failures. J.k. rowling's -- who wrote harry potter -- her first harry potter book was rejected 12 times before it was finally published. Michael jordan was cutfromhis high school basketball team. He lost hundreds of games and missed thousands of shots during his career. But he once said, "i have failed over and over and over again in my life. And that's why i succeed."

These people succeeded because they understood that you can't let your failures define you -- you have to let your failures teach you. You have to let them show you what to do differently the next time. So if you get into trouble, that doesn't mean you're a troublemaker, it means you need to try harder to act right. If you get a bad grade, that doesn't mean you're stupid, it just means you need to spendmore time studying.

No one's born being good at all things. You become good at things through hard work. You're not a varsity athlete the first time you play a new sport. You don't hit every note the first time you sing a song. You've got to practice. The same principle applies to your schoolwork. You might have to do a math problem a few times before you get it right. You might have to read something a few times before you understand it. You definitely have to do a few drafts of a paper before it's good enough to hand in.

Don't be afraid to ask questions. Don't be afraid to ask for help when you need it. I do that every day. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness, it's a sign of strength because it shows you have the courage to admit when you don't know something, and that then allows you to learn something new. So find an adult that you trust -- a parent, a grandparent or teacher, a coach or a counselor -- and ask them to help you stay on track to meet your goals.

And even when you're struggling, even when you're discouraged, and you feel like other people have given up on you, don't ever give up on yourself, because when you give up on yourself, you give up on your country.

The story of america isn't about people who quit when things got tough. It's about people who kept going, who tried harder, who loved their country too much to do anything less than their best.

It's the story of students who sat where you sit 250 years ago, and went on to wage a revolution and they founded this nation. Young people. Students who sat where you sit 75 years ago who overcame a depression and won a world war; who fought for civil rights and put a man on the moon. Students who sat where you sit 20 years ago who founded google and twitter and facebook and changed the way we communicate with each other.

So today, i want to ask all of you, what's your contribution going to be? what problems are you going to solve? what discoveries will you make? what will a president who comes here in 20 or 50 or 100 years say about what all of you did for this country?

Now, your families, your teachers, and i are doing everything we can to make sure you have the education you need to answer these questions. I'm working hard to fix up your classrooms and get you the books and the equipment and the computers you need to learn. But you've got to do your part, too. So i expect all of you to get serious this year. I expect you to put your best effort into everything you do. I expect great thingsfromeach of you. So don't let us down. Don't let your family down or your country down. Most of all, don't let yourself down. Make us all proud.

Thank you very much, everybody. God bless you. God bless america. Thank you. (applause.)

I’m happy to be here. I’d like to introduce myself. My name is Yan Yuhan. My English name is Anita.

I’m 7 years old, I’m a student, I’m in class three grade one.

I am very glad to make a speech here! This time, I'd like to talk something about English. My topic is “I Love English”。

When I was young, my mother sent me to an English school. At there, I played games and sang English songs with others . Then I discovered the beauty of the language, and began my colorful dream in the English world.

Everyday, I read English following the tapes. Sometimes, I watch English cartoons.

I know, Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one day I can speak English very well.

Ladies and Gentlemen, good evening. Today I’d like to talk about the importance of

smiling and kindness. Life is like a mirror.

When you smile, people will smile back. When you treat other people kindly, they will treat you kindly in return. Try to spend one day smiling and being kind

to everyone you meet.

You will see a big difference in your life. If you keep on smiling and being kind, smiling and kindness will become your habits. If everyone tried to do this, the world would be a kinder, brighter, and happier place.

Start smiling right away. That’s all. Thank you.

Dear classmates:

I received a devastating blow to my self-confidence in the first interview of my college years. I applied to be a host in our Student Acting Troupe and felt confident that I would be accepted. But one of the panel members told me: "You seem inadequate and you are a little vertically-challenged." My life has never been the same since. I used bigger heels to complement my height and psychological maneuvers and tricks to hide my lack of confidence. But no matter how hard I tried to look the part, there was still something missing.

As president of English Club, I organized the rehearsal of Snow White for an English party. Unfortunately, we could not find an actor to be the last dwarf. It had to be someone who was humorous by nature and fluent in English. Suddenly, all eyes turned to me, and I knew I would have to be the dwarf. To my great surprise and delight, once on stage, I was totally absorbed in the performance and my humorous nature was put to full use. As the dwarf, I was a big hit.

Yes, each of us is only one among millions of others, but each of us is an individual and each of us is unique. Cultivating our individuality will transform our lives, making of them a kaleidoscope of new colors and textures.

A world deprived of diversity would be a bland and boring place. The real tragedy is not being short or shy or ugly, but having your identity lost in a world in which everyone is a clone of a model cool boy or a flawless charming girl.

Given a choice, I would rather be ugly than live in such a world. I'd rather be a genuine dwarf accompanying a Snow White than be a Snow White among nothing but Snow Whites. I would rather be myself. I would contribute my individual and unique colors to create a more diverse universe. Please, be yourself.

I thought that its key point and the difficulty have two aspects: An aspect, is about the subject of examination reform. Other aspect, about enrollment system's reform.

all the people study English malpractice is very serious, is prominent, but how to change and govern this kind of situation, is a very special question.

we now this kind of test pattern is one kind of shopping online, is shopping online which one kind strengthens highly, is not tests a person's quality and ability.

Let’s stand up from where we fall down.

All the celebrations welcoming the new century were hold in the year 20xx, because life without a greeting is like the sky without the are very important for the whole world,in my opinion.

But I dont know whether greetings are enough for us.Especially when we meet with failures .I remember quite clearly that when I was a child,if I fall down and was on the brink of crying,my father always told me"Please stand up from where you fall down!"

Yes,we must stand up from where we fall down.

That was a special mid night in 1993.Expectations filled our hearts.

We stared at the TV,hoping excitedly as the voice would fly to our ears.

But at last, each Chinese who loves our motherland was distressed to know the result:Beijing ,lost to Sydeny by a margin of two votes in the Olym

Eight years have past, but the frustration has not healed with time at all.

Now,at the begining of the new millennium, all of the pride and disappointment of the 20th century had gone with the wind. The 21st century, which is full of hope, longing znd thought has come. Someone said,we would start from zero on.

Should I really start from zero on?

No!I hold that we should go on with our efferts and ambitions stayed by last century, and make our life better.

英语经典演讲稿 12

the most powerful strength in the world is a habit. the most precious fortune is also a habit. it’s true to an enterprise, a country and a nation. so is it to human life. habit is one of your belongings. if you have a good habit, you will never use it up. however, if you have a bad habit, you will be in endless debt. whether to be an owner or a slave is up to you. your behavior leads to a habit, your habit develops your personality, and your personality determines your destiny. from this, we can see it is important for middle school students to build up a good learning habit.

as middle school students, what habits do we have to develop?

1. show your respect and appreciation to your teachers.

2. preview your lessons well.

3. listen to the teacher carefully.

students should concentrate on in class, and grasp the importance and difficulties, so that they will have the class effectively.

4. observe attentively and think actively.

5. be good at asking questions. the best students are those who are willing to ask questions and those who are creative.

6. learn from others.

everyone has his own advantages and disadvantages. what we should do is to learn from each other and get improved.

7. do your homework independently.

homework is an important part of teaching activities and it is a continuous part. it is the basic and independent practice. at the same time, it is the way to test how much students learned.

some students don’t have a clear purpose and attitude towards it. they cheat in different ways. some students are afraid of doing something difficult. these bad habits influenced the efficiency of learning. so, we should pay much attention to our homework.

8. think over when you take a test.

9. reflect after doing exercise.

10. learn to summarize.

at last, make a list of your mistakes.

mistral , one of the winners of nobel prize in chile, said,“we may wait for lots of things we need, but students can’t do that. they are growing up. we shouldn’t say tomorrow to them. their names are today.

thus, let’s start from today, from now on, from every little thing and cultivate one good habit and another. let all the good habits be with us for a life time, be a ladder that leads us to success, and to a splendid tomorrow.

They chose to use their platform to ensure not just that their son would be remembered, but that a new university, built in his name, would exist to benefit others.

Since the Stanfords didn’t have the opportunity to give their son the future he had envisioned, they devoted themselves to creating a university that would produce both fundamental knowledge and apply that knowledge to tackle real-world problems – but that that would also help countless other students build their own platforms and launch their own lives of purpose.

As Stanford graduates, you have built and earned your platform.

Your education and experiences here will give you opportunities to pursue your interests and follow your own unique path.

Of course, you’ve worked tremendously hard to achieve this success. And I know that it hasn’t always been easy. Each of you has had to overcome obstacles to get to where you are today.

And all of that hard work – the midnight coffee breaks; the final exams; the hours spent in the library, or the studio, or the laboratory – have brought you here today.

And you haven’t stopped there.

You’ve thrown yourself into activities and experiences here – whether sports or the arts, student government or the student newspaper, service work, sketch comedy, the Band, or…or – especially as I’ve seen in the last week – fountain hopping!

These experiences have enriched your lives, and they, too, have brought you to where you are today.

East and West have met

runner-up: Rui Cheng gang, Foreign Affair College

Honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen:

Kipling said:" East is east, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet!" But now, a century later, they have met.

They have met in business. They have met in education. They have met in the arts.

Some would argue that these meetings leave us with a choice between East and West ,but I believe the best future lies in the creative combination of both worlds. We can make Western ideas, customs and technology our own, and adapt them to our own use. We can enjoy the best of all worlds, because our tradition is, above all, one of selecting the best and making it our own.

But, do Western styles and values threaten our identity?

History makes it easy for us to think so-perhaps too easy.

Some people seem to think that adopting Western customs, such as a bride wearing white-which has long been a color of mourning in China, instead of the traditional Chinese red for her wedding, is another submission to foreign intervention,--a betrayal of our heritage, they say.

They fear that as we become "globalized", we will no longer be Chinese.

I do not agree.

History teachers that a strong and confident nation is at ease in hearing from the outside world.

The wedding of Eastern and Western cultures, whether in white gowns or red, brings us variety.

It is a rich banquet of special foods from all over the world.

As an amateur gourmet of Chinese cuisine, our superb flavours delight me.

But my Chinese taste appreciates food from any land.

I even allow the convenience of McDonald's a place in my life without giving up my good taste.

My grandfather taught me to hum tunes of Beijing opera from the time I was very young; they are deep in my spirit, part of my soul.

I love Beijing opera, because it always reminds me of who I am.

But I am also a fan of modern pop music, the No.1 fan of Spice Girls on campus.

of course, it goes far beyond food, music and dance. It goes into values and ways of thinking about the world.

Once upon a time, or so my teacher told me, a Chinese boy and an American girl had a squabble.

Both wanted to keep a bunny rabbit they had found in the garden.

Surely you've seen a rabbit sunning himself in the grass.

Nothing is more lovable, nothing more natural. No wonder they wanted him. The Chinese boy played his er-hu. Happiness and joy, longing and passion, filled the air. The little rabbit swayed gently and began to move his ears in the direction of the music. He liked what he heard.

The girl then took out her violin and played it to produce beautiful melodies of her own.

The rabbit began to bounce in her direction.

So intent were the children on their own music that neither paid the other any attention.

The competing melodies confused the little rabbit and he did not know which way to turn .Unable to attract the little creature, both children gave up ;they walked away, in different directions, leaving the rabbit. . .alone.

But, what if they listened ,what if they really heard each other's music, instead of always playing their own tunes?

When I hear the music of a violin ,rich with the joys of men and women who came together and sang and danced.. . I hear echoes of the music of the grass lands, of the hills, of the rivers...of my own native land.

Is music mine and yours, or is it ours?

What I want to hear is the er-hu and the violin played together, in rhythm and in tune. Together, we can produce new and beautiful music, rich with textures and sounds that can only be made in harmony.

The rabbit sits in the grass in the ever-warming sun. Waiting for us to play, waiting for the symphony to begin.

Will he have to wait forever? The choice is ours . Thank you.

I"ll tell you an experience of myself happened last week. last thursday our school was tackling something about woking fou study. i wanted to have a try even though i knew the salary was so low and i had little chance, because the students who had the certificate were always thought to have priority to get the job. fortunately i was called at noon and a teacher said to me that she wanted me to work for her and asked if i could change my mind.

At that moment i was so excited that immediately i accepted her idea. but later on,she found me that i"m not a student,so i had little chance and suggest me to get one. then an idea occurred to me that i could call my father and ask him to send me the letter. at the same time i was told that i was admitted to the job and don"t need the certificate. that time i forgot to remind my father, until the next day he called me that he had posted it and it would arrive in just one day.

At that moment i was moved, and even moved into tears, because i knew my father was injured not long before, the process of helping me with the affairs was not so convenient for him. but he tried his best to help me. sometimes we may complain about unsatisfying things around us,and blame them on our parents, sometimes they"ll be angry with us, and sometimes we can"t quite understand what they are thinking about. but on balance, almost every parent is selfless to his or her child.

They are ready to offer everything to us when we are in bad situation. we used to sharing sorrow with them, but do not forget to share our happiness with them, perhaps they will be much happier than we are. so from now on, let"s care more about our parents and do not leave pity to them. that"s what i want to tell you today. thank you!

I love hometown

My hometown is not known, but in my eyes, the rivers and mountains of his home, plants are the most beautiful. Do not believe? Listen to me then to introduce the Four Seasons bar!

Spring dream home just as the baby woke up, it looked Zhang curious eyes of the world: the swaying willow of hair, grass from the land out of the small head, is also pressing wildflowers River from the ground up, the light emitting fragrance. Flying Swallow flew back from the South, and chirp in the branches and calls, and the spring air is filled with every corner.

Summer, the home was surrounded by lush trees, thick foliage in brilliant sunshine all the more lush. Cicadas in the trees kept the "cicada, cicada" singing, old people leisurely sitting under a tree, slowly shaking fans, and children eating ice cream, chasing each other in the streets, playing, and to add hot summer endless vitality.

Fall, like put home a golden dress, blowing in the wind, the leaf pieces flying in the air. The golden fields of corn, rice farmersuncle's face shine with the joy of the harvest, from the height look down, ah! Good a golden world.

Winter, the snowflakes floating in the air to put on a white home.the streets of the thick snow, step up a "creak" sound, children with snowmen, snowball fights, and that the laughter turned into a cold winter's well-being of the park.

I love the rivers and mountains of his home, plants, love every one of its sky, every inch of land, each stream. It is willing to develop faster, and build the United States and more. I feel my hometown proud!
