Like any natural force, gravity pull can work with us or against us. The gravity pull of some of our habits may currently be keeping us from going where we want to go. But it is also gravity pull that keeps our world together, that keeps the planets in their orbits and our universe in order. It is a powerful force, and if we use it effectively, we can use the gravity pull of habit to create the cohesiveness and order necessary to establish effectiveness in our lives.

As a correspondent of the Qingdao Morning News, I visited Dr. James Gilman, the President of the International Committee for Marco Polo Studies in England. In this picture, this is James, and this is me and we are looking at a dragon’s tooth. This is a true story.
65 years ago, James lived in Qingdao. Then he was only 5 years old. He often visited the Aquarium and was fascinated by a creature on display there, which he thought was a dragon. He was afraid of its sharp teeth and wanted one to keep as a treasure.
He kept the tooth for the next 65 years, but the feeling of guilt at having stolen it was there in the background all through his life. It was always on his conscience, and the feeling intensified as he became older. Finally he decided to put right his childish error. In 20xx, he visited Qingdao and returned it to the Aquarium with his sincere apologies. He received a warm welcome.
When James visited Qingdao, I accompanied him all the time and reported on his visit. I was deeply touched by his honesty. It has taught me a lot. I think to err is human. The important thing is to have the courage to admit and correct one’s error.

Many advanced electronic products are gradually take the place of traditional tools. Just like in university, teachers like to use multimedia in class for it is quite convenient and efficient. However, for our student, it is not realistic to study completely by electronic products.
There are many things need to recorded on books. Books are something meaningful and practical. I should say, in our country, printed books wouldn't be abandoned within 20 years at least for two reasons.
Firstly, books are classical container of knowledge. They accompany human to advance. A student without books could be someway ridiculous.
Secondly, our country haven't developed so strong to make every student study by computer or other forms of electronic tools. And even after 20 years, the possibility is also very small.
I also think it is unnecessary because books are cheap but useful and still meaningful.
It is undeniable that the worsening environment has bee the biggest concernof the present-day world。Land resources are dwindling because of water loss andsoil erosion。Waste gases poison the air we breathe。The rivers and lakes arepolluted by waste dumped in them from factories。It is probably no exaggerationto say that deterioration of the quality of the environment threatens theexistence of mankind itself。
Some people are of the opinion that the environmental problem is the pricewe have to pay for economic development。But I do not think that this argument isvalid。After all， what is the point of economic growth if people’s lives areadversely alfected by worsening environmental pollution?

很长的一段时间，我们总是在徘徊、彷徨，人生的岔路口上，找不到前进的道路，没有能够给予你指导方向的人，痛苦、忧伤接踵而至。我们感叹着，总觉得，因为青春，生活变得泥泞不堪;因为青春，我们变得颓废惘然;因为青春，我们看不清未来。
可是，青春并不应该是这些的。
青春的代名词是澎湃的热血，是洋溢的热情，是努力的拼搏，是无尽的尝试。青春是经得起磨练但经不起消磨的，经得起开发却经不起挥霍。整日的萎靡不振，眼里看见的只是颓废，这些又有什么意义呢?再多的抱怨，再多的不满，又能够改变什么呢?只是会让自己觉得活的很累很沉重，然后再次的抱怨、不满，如此下去，恶性循环罢了。
其实，我们还年轻，有什么事情是不可能的!曾经那么多的梦想，正该乘着这大好的青春年华，去拼搏、去努力，给所有的梦想一次实现的机会。只要勇敢得向前，努力的付出，即使到最后没能够收获你想要的，过程中的经历也已经足够你去珍藏回忆的。
青春，只赋予你、我一生一次，盛年不重来，一日难再晨，及时当勉励，岁月不待人。最值得高度珍惜的莫过于每一天的价值，把握住今天把握住明天，迎来每天的第一缕阳光。青春时光无价，一刻千金。
很多时候都会觉得疲惫不堪、无可奈何，没有太多的激情。是否是因为我们的心已经不再年轻了，将一切都已经看透?不，主宰世界的是你，放弃世界的仍然是你。心情日记里天气的阴霾或风和日丽，其实都是你自己在撰写。
或许，在这物欲横流，虚假繁荣的社会里，你想要的只是平平淡淡的生活，“与世无争，恬淡一生”，不想在反反复复中追寻，只做一个平凡的人。我们不能过于片面的去评价说这是对是错，但是平凡并不意味着平庸。我们可以平凡，但绝不可以平庸。
很多年以后，回想起曾经做的事、说过的话，总会觉得是那么的幼稚。年幼的无知，少年的白日梦，蹉跎的岁月中充斥着青春的点点滴滴。或许会悲伤，或许会难过。想说的是，不经历风雨，怎能看见彩虹;想说的是，再多的不舍、留恋也已经是沿途的风景;想说的是，无论是什么，都已经是过去的了，没有必要再去纠结哀伤。
终有一天我们将会进入成年,在青春的路上渐行渐远。但请不要悲伤,因为离开是为了更好的回忆。有人曾说过“人生就像一张有去无回的单程车票，没有彩排，每一场都是现场直播。把握好每次演出便是对人生最好的珍惜。”当我们再次回首往事时，可以很自豪地说：当我们年轻时，我们奋斗过，尽情燃烧过。可以无悔地面对自己，面对未来，不曾有过遗憾!

I remember when I was younger. My family lived a simple life. We weren'twealthy by any stretch of the imagination, but we were content with what wehad.
Our first vehicle was an old broken-down bicycle. It provided us withtransportation on many enjoyable weekends and holidays. Mom sat on the backwhile Dad pedaled. I, a mere toddler at the time, rode on the bar in front ofhim. It didn't matter where we were going as long as we were going theretogether.
Not long after that, my family moved to Hainan. Relying on my parents,courage and persistence, they started their own business. As a result, we weresoon able to replace the bike with a new car. So we could travel further on ourexcursions. Our family's happy laughter filled the car as we traveled to manydistant locations in China. Many years have gone by since those happy days, butwe're still as close as ever.
Recently, the airplane has become our mode of transportation as we venturebeyond the confines of China to see the world. We were able to experiencefirsthand the uniqueness of Amsterdam, the romance of Paris, and the elegance ofVienna. But yet, such fantastic sites were nothing compared to the love of ourfamily.
Time goes by swiftly, and everything is changing all the time.Yet the loveexisting in my family always remains. It is the source of our happiness; It,sthe source of all of our ideals: confidence, courage, and faith. But it goes somuch deeper than that; it warms our very hearts. So I will acclaim for theeternal and awesome love in my family and let it go on forever!

在那不久后，我们全家搬到了海南，凭着父母的勇气与执着不懈的努力，他们在自己的事业上很快有了出色的成绩。因此，不久后父母就将原本的脚踏车换成了一辆崭新的小轿车，于是，我们就开始了长距离的旅途，在周游中国的同时，快乐的笑声总是充满着整个温馨的车厢。而那些日子虽然已经过去了很久，但是我们还是像以前那样亲密无间。
后来，在我们迈出中国游览世界的时候，飞机又成了我们的新型交通工具。我们全家一起感受阿姆斯特丹的奇异，巴黎的浪漫与维也纳的典雅。但是所有令人心动的景色都不可与旅途中我们全家浓浓的亲情相提并论。
时光如水，我们身边的一切都在无时无刻地改变着，但是亲情不变，永远不变。它是我们快乐的源泉，是我们全家理想、信心、勇气与责任的源泉。它所给予的不仅仅是这些。而更多的是心灵上的温暖与感动。所以，我要为亲情喝彩，让爱--永恒!
