Good morning ! Students, teachers. I’m very glad to stand here and give youa short speech. today my topic is “I love English”. I hope you will like it.
As everyone knows,English is very important today. It has been usedeverywhere in the world. It has become the most common language on Internet andfor international trade. If we can speak English well,we will have more chanceto succeed. Because more and more people have taken notice of it,the number ofthe people who go to learn English has increased at a high speed.
But for myself,I learn English not only because of its importance and itsusefulness, but also because of my love for it. When I learn English, I can feela different way of thinking which gives me more room to touch the world. When Iread English novels,I can feel the pleasure from the book which is differentfrom reading the translation. When I speak English, I can feel the confidentfrom my words. When I write English,I can see the beauty which is not the sameas our Chinese...
I love English,it gives me a colorful dream. I hope I can travel around theworld one day. With my good English, I can make friends with many people fromdifferent countries. I can see many places of great intrests. I dream that I cango to London, because it is the birth place of English.
I also want to use my good English to introduce our great places to theEnglish spoken people,I hope that they can love our country like us. I know,Rome was not built in a day. I believe that after continuous hard study, one dayI can speak English very well.
If you want to be loved, you should learn to love and be lovable. So Ibelieve as I love English everyday , it will love me too.
I am sure that I will realize my dream one day!
Thank you!
environmental pollution can cause direct damage and impact to ecosystems, such as desertification and forest damage, which can also cause indirect hazards to ecosystems and human societies. sometimes the harm of this indirect environmental effect is greater than the direct hazard caused by it, it is more difficult to eliminate. for example, the greenhouse effect, acid rain, and ozone depletion are the environmental effects derived from atmospheric pollution. this environmental effect derived from environmental pollution is lagging behind, often at the time of the occurrence of pollution is not easy to be perceived or expected, but in the event of environmental pollution has been developed to a very serious point. of course, the most direct and most environmentally conscious consequence of environmental pollution is the decline in the quality of the human environment, affecting human quality of life, physical health and productive activities. such as the city's air pollution caused by air pollution, people's morbidity and so on; water pollution so that the deterioration of water quality, drinking water quality generally decline, threatening human health. serious pollution incidents not only bring health problems, but also cause social problems. with the increase in pollution and people's awareness of the environment, due to pollution caused by population disputes and conflicts increased year by year.
let us all love nature, love the earth, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder, heart to cast a green embankment, to defend the resources, to defend the environment, to defend the earth, to defend our beautiful home now!
You all are leaving your alma mater now. i have no gift to present you all except a piece of advice.
What i would like to advise is that "don’t give up your study." most of the courses you have taken are partly for your certificate. you had no choice but to take them. from now on, you may study on your own. i would advise you to work hard at some special field when you are still young and vigorous. your youth will be gone that will never come back to you again. when you are old, and when your energy are getting poorer, you will not be able to as you wish to. even though you have to study in order to make a living, studies will never live up to you. making a living without studying, you will be shifted out in three or five years. at this time when you hope to make it up, you will say it is too late. perhaps you will say, "after graduation and going into the society, we will meet with an urgent problem, that is, to make a living. for this we have no time to study. even though we hope to study, we have no library nor labs, how can we study further?"
I would like to say that all those who wait to have a library will not study further even though they have one and all these who wait to have a lab will not do experiments even though they have one. when you have a firm resolution and determination to solve a problem, you will naturally economize on food and clothing.
As for time, i should say it’s not a problem. you may know that every day he could do only an hour work, not much more than that because darwin was ill for all his life. you must have read his achievements. every day you spend an hour in reading 10 useful pages, then you will read more than 3650 pages every year. in 30 years you will have read 110,000 pages.
My fellow students, reading 110,000 pages will make you a scholar. but it will take you an hour to read three kinds of small-sized newspapers and it will take you an hour and a half to play four rounds of mahjian pieces. reading small-sized newspapers or playing mahjian pieces, or working hard to be a scholar? it’s up to you all.
Henrik ibsen said, "it is your greatest duty to make yourself out."
Studying is then as tool as casting. giving up studying will destroy yourself.
I have to say goodbye to you all. your alma mater will open her eyes to see what you will be in 10 years. goodbye!
Honorable Judges, fellow students:
Good afternoon!
Recently, there is a heated debate in our society. The college students arethe beneficiaries of a rare privilege, who receive exceptional education atextraordinary places. But will we be able to face the challenge and supportourselves against all odds? Will we be able to better the lives of others? Willwe be able to accept the responsibility of building the future of ourcountry?
The cynics say the college students are the pampered lost generation, whichwould cringe at the slightest discomfort. But the cynics are wrong. The collegestudents I see are eagerly learning about how to live independently. We helpeach other clean the dormitory, go shopping and bargain together, and take parttime jobs to supplement our pocket money.
The cynics say we care for nothing other than grades; and we neglect theneed for character cultivation. But again, the cynics are wrong. We care deeplyfor each other, we cherish freedom, we treasure justice, and we seek truth.
hello:
honorable judges, ladies and gentlemen. today,we are gathering here to discuss a very hot issue. how to find harmony in a new age between man and nature? where modern science and technology are concerned i am only a layman i have to say. however, living in this "new age" , seeing my dear ones suffering from respiratory diseases from time to time, finding the beautiful colors of green and blue are being replaced by that of gray and pale, and realizing that our mother planet is getting more and more unhealthy; i can't help trying to offer my idea and my trivial efforts to look for the answer of the question.
as the ancient greek oracle goes: know thyself. i think in answering this above-mentioned question, this precondition is also very important.
who are we? this is a question, which should be answered not only by those specialists, but also by every one of human beings.
some people may proudly say: we are the masters of nature. it is true that the idea of "man can conquer nature" has dominated people's mind for years, and it is true, man has kept acting like a master and doing whatever things he wants for thousands of years. however, as the consequence of this kind of "leadership" , now the "master" seems to be confronted with problems that are far beyond his control. facts are really very ample. the
green house effect leaves islands and cities along the coast, such as this oriental pearl-shanghai, in danger of the disaster of being drowned; the holes of the ozone layer make the earth less suitable to live for some creatures including human beings; the phenomena of el nino and la nina leave the land with serious flood and drought, and the diseases, caused by pollution, are increasing at an incredible speed... seeing all these facts, can we still ignore the counterattack of nature? we are not the masters of nature. facing all the disasters made by ourselves, we, mankind as a whole should realize that we are just a normal member of the big family of nature. any mistreatment towards nature will meet only with the revenge from her.
by saying so, i do not mean we should give a sudden stop to any development. because that will result in a threat to the existence of human society. i mean we should treat nature equally, leaving the chance of existence and development to nature as we are obtaining the same thing, and thus we will get the situation of win-win.
i am very pleased to find that now more and more people, from every corner of the planet, have come to realize that harmony with nature is the only way to universal and continuous progress and prosperity. and i think that is why we come here from all over the country to discuss this topic today.
i want to end my speech by quoting from mr. nixon. "our destiny offers, not the cup of despair, but the chalice of opportunity." the future is not ours to see of course. however, by seizing firmly the opportunities, by knowing clearly about ourselves, we, human beings, can doubtlessly achieve the real harmony with nature!
thank you.
it’s my great pleasure to stand here to present my speech—change the world, change ourselves.
it’s noticable that western holidays are becoming increasingly popular day by day, while chinese traditional festivals are being somewhat neglected. not long before about 10 doctors in beijing university and qinghua unversity announced that we should reject the invasion of western holidays ,because they regard western holidays as an challenge against our traditional festivals and culture.
frankly speaking, i don’t quite agree with ed, we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions. (examples) why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture.
there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china. on the one hand, some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful, such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc. on the other hand, the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china. overwhelmed by such a trend, chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture.
with the further development of the whole world, the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important. we are indeed from different nations, but we are the citizens of the same world, so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture? the answer is definitely no. what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture. only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture. only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us.
at last i’d like to share a famouse saying of gandhi with all of you ,that is:if you want to change the world, then you must change yourself first.”
Every one of us,rich or poor, should at least have one or two good friends will listen to me when I want to speak, will wipe my eyes when I cry, will take care of me when I am sick, and my friends will go together with me side by side through this journey of life.
As students,we could share more time with our friendship in our young hearts is pure, fresh and simple.I often feel very lucky to have a lot of good cially when I had Justin as one of my best in was my English teacher from the USA.I met him in 1996 when I was a student who could only speak very little in was a vivid young man with a bright smile on his face, and he always had his special way to make the class active and taught us English by telling stories, playing games, singing songs, and even dancing.I could still remember very clearly that one afternoon when we fin-ished our class,we went to some other classes to sing songs for them, just like what people do in the states on Christmas was so interesting and in was an excellent teacher, because he taught us not only how to study English well, but also the way to find out the beauty of the world and the way to be angels to others' lives.I know there was friendship and pure love in our ng this valuable emotion neither nationality nor age was important, the real importance lay in faith,under-standing,and in is the best friend I have ever had,and I know I will cherish those days of staying together with him as the best part of my memory.
Friendship is a kind of treasure in our is actually like a bottle of wine, the longer it is kept, the sweeter it will is also like a cup of we are thirsty,it will be our best choice, but when we have enough time to enjoy ourselves,it is also the most fragrant drink.
well, though we all think he is so stinky, never buy things for himself, looking for things from a trash car ,he found almost everything from that car,oh its sounds so disgusting, but if we try another way to figure this whole thing out, maybe his trying to protect the environment,we all try so hard to protect environment,we recycle things that have been used, although we dropped most of them, but this man ,everything that he own is Secondary usage,i think he wont waste anything, that is so nice,so if we Do not be so mean, the world would be a better place then you think.thats all, thanks.
January first. The beginning of a new year. As far back in history as wecan tell, people have celebrated the start of a new year.
The people of ancient Egypt began their new year in summer. That is whenthe Nile River flooded its banks, bringing water and fertility to the land. Thepeople of ancient Babylonia and Persia began their new year on Marchtwenty-first, the first day of spring. And, some Native American Indians begantheir new year when the nuts of the oak tree became ripe. That was usually inlate summer.
Now, almost everyone celebrates New Years Day on January first. Today, asbefore, people observe the New Years holiday in many different ways.
The ancient Babylonians celebrated by forcing their king to give up hiscrown and royal clothing. They made him get down on his knees and admit all themistakes he had made during the past year.
This idea of admitting wrongs and finishing the business of the old year isfound in many societies at new years. So is the idea of making resolutions. Aresolution is a promise to change your ways. To stop smoking, for example. Or toget more physical exercise.
Noise-making is another ancient custom at the new year. The noise isconsidered necessary to chase away the evil spirits of the old year. Peoplearound the world do different things to make a lot of noise. They may hit stickstogether. Or beat on drums. Or blow horns. Or explode fireworks.
Americans celebrate the New Year in many ways.
Most do not have to go to work or school. So they visit family and friends.Attend church services. Share a holiday meal. Or watch new years parades ontelevision. Two of the most famous parades are the Mummers Parade inPhiladelphia, Pennsylvania, and the Rose Parade in Pasadena, California. Bothhave existed for many years.
Americans also watch football on television on New Years Day. Most years, university teams play in special holiday games.
For those who have been busy at work or school, New Years may be a day ofrest. They spend the time thinking about, and preparing for, the demands of thenew year.
Good morning dear young fellows from suntrans, Today is my two months and two days celebration of working in suntrans. This is my first job, and I am very glad tohave it, and to stand here sharing my feelings with all of you.
Today my topic is a little bit long, it is,the happy days of my dear little young fellows and me spent together in our companySuntrans. We had numerous happy days together, and every day is memorable. Itis so long that if I share every moment with you, this meeting may last three days or even longer. So in order to give us time to work, to eat, to go homeand to sleep, I will only share three most memorable moments we had together.
The first memorable moment for me was thecompany activity held in May by our human resources Department. We played games together and had a great time. That day was my 25th birthday, but that is not the most important reason whyI remember it so well. Firstly, I learned our company’s history, and felt thatit is very difficult to start a business, and thought that everyone in ourcompany is very hard working. Secondly, I joined Maple’s team that day, although we almost lost all of the competitions, everyone was so happy andfriendly and my team made me understood the meaning of the phrase– “team spirit”.I began to understand and like our company after that day’s activity.
The second memorable moment for me was the birthday party held in May. I never had such a birthday party before, what’s more, my birthday is the same month as our General Manager Lu, and I felt very honored and grateful. I received a lot of warm celebration words from all of you and a lovely birthday card. I was so moved that day and had the feeling that I am a part of this big family. When I blew off the candles, I made three wishes, firstly, make progress in English, secondly, make progress in Japanese,Thirdly, do my best to become a good translator in Suntrans. I hope my wisheswill come true in the future.
The third memorable mmoment for me was The Second Experience Exchanging Forum of Mining Investment 20xx. This is the first time I took part in such a big conference, and I was very excited and willing to do something for it. We did work very hard for this conference, and even asked the Dragon Boat Festival to contribute. This conference gave me a great workexperience and taught me many things: for example how to do advertising and marketing, and a great knowledge in mining industry. The most important is, our young fellows’team work is very brilliant, and I love our company more thanever after this conference.
These are the three most memorable moments for me that I spent with all of you in Suntrans, I hope that we can create moreand more in the future.
Thank you all, best wishes with love.
Today i am very glad to be here to share with you my ideas of success. What is success? It is what everyone is longing times success would be rather simple. Winning a game is success; getting a high grade in the exam is success; making a new friend is success; even now i amstanding here giving my speech is somehow also success.
However, as a person’s whole life is concerned, success becomes verycomplicated. is fortune success? is fame success? is high social status success? no, i don’t think so. i believe success is the realization of people’s hopes and days, in the modern society there are many peoplewho are regarded as the successful. and the most obvious characteristics of hem are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s success and all that they do is for this purpose. But the problem is wether it is real success.
We all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, We can see, to get the real success we must need something inside, which is the realization ofpeople’ hopes and ideals.
Different people have different ideas about success; cause people’s hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is my success, cause i raise up to challenge my hope.
What is success?Everyone has his own interpretation as i do. But i am sureevery success leads to an ever-brighter future. so ladies and gentlemen, believe in our hopes, believe in ourselves, we, every one of us, can make asuccessful life!
Ihave a dream that one day this nation will rise up and live out the true meaning of its creed-we hold theses truths to be self-oevident, that all men are created equal. i have a dream that one day on the red hills of georgia, sons of former slaves and sons of former slave owners will be able to sit together at the table of brotherhood.
I have a dream my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character.
I have a dream today! When we allow freedom to ring, when we let it ring from every village and hamlet, from every state and city, we will be able to speed up that day when all of god’s children-black men and white men , jews and gentiles, catholics and protestants-will be able to join hands and to sing in the words of the old negro spiritual, "free at least ,free at last . thank god almighty, we are free at last."

good morning, everyone. my name is . i'm from cheng zhuang primany school. i'm a puiple.today i will tell you a story, the topic is the greedy mouse.
you know the cats eat the mice, and they are enimies. but there is a little mouse that don't know it, her name is jerry.
one day, that was jerry's birthday. that morning, jerry's father and mother got up earilier and said to her, "jerry, get up, get up" the little jerry was sleeping and said, "what's wrong?" "today is your birthday, we are going to buy some presents for you." "thank you, dady momy." then they went out.
but at that time, a cat was looking for food. his name is tom. he found jerry's father and mother went out, left their daughter only at home. he was very happy, said to yourself, "oh, now i have food."
then he called 7654321. jerry catched the telephone quickly, "hello" she said, "this is jerry, who's that?" "this is a tom. i'm a cat."
"a cat? what are you doing?" the cat said, "i hear today is your birthday, happy birthday to you. i have a present for you." jerry was happy, and said, "thank you. you may come here. see you later." "see you later."
then tom went to jerry's home with some flowers.
Have you ever heard about Warren Buffet, the second richest person in the world? Well, today I am not going to talk about him but his three kids.
For someone whose parent is such an extraordinarily successful investor, the three kids come out pretty ordinary guys. When they were young, they each received $ 10,000 a year. If they wanted to borrow more money form their father, they have to sign a written agreement. When growing up, however, they all found their lovely jobs-housewife, farmer, musician, instead of relying on their well off father.
It seems that they are unlucky to have a father who criticizes the self-indulgence of super-rich. But is it really true? No, absolutely not! In fact, they are grateful to him because they found their own passion which suits their true talent, and they are able to make money on their own.
So what could we learn from them? Three words: independence, responsibility, passion. Indeed we are fortunate to be protected by the whole family, but this cannot be the reason for us to become boomerang children.
Although we, the generation of 90s have been questioned from the day we were born: selfness and weakness, indifference and rebellion, sensitivity and pride, we are still pressing on with our creed: Yes we can. At a time when the earthquake happened in We chuan, we were praised by the whole public because of the bravery and determination we show during the process of rescuing. Yes we can. When the World Expo was held in Shanghai, the smile on volunteers’ faces impressed millions of people all around the world. Yes we can. When the two kids fell into the river, fifteen freshmen of Chang Jiang University saved them from drowning regardless of the truth that they cannot swim. Yes we can. We were there for the return of Hong Kong and Macao, the Olympic Game in Beijing, the 60th anniversary of founding of New China, and Premier Wen Jiabao who told the survivors in earthquake that “We shall overcome.” Yes we can.
As the only child in the family, however, some of us just like flowers growing in the greenhouse that take for granted, and parents will give them whatever they want, from toys to books, from watches to cell phones, from houses to cars. But apart from this, we have to be independent. Everyone is an individual. You are not your parents’ sequel. You are not your kids’ prequel. You have your own talents and you have to rely on yourselves.
Take responsibility. No one can support you in your whole life. No one
TRUMP: Chief Justice Roberts, President Carter, President Clinton, President Bush, President Obama, fellow Americans and people of the world, thank you.
We, the citizens of America, are now joined in a great national effort to rebuild our country and restore its promise for all of our people.
Together, we will determine the course of America and the world for many, many years to come. We will face challenges, we will confront hardships, but we will get the job done.
Every four years, we gather on these steps to carry out the orderly and peaceful transfer of power, and we are grateful to President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama for their gracious aid throughout this transition. They have been magnificent. Thank you.
Todays capital has reaped the rewards of government while the people have borne the cost. Washington flourished, but the people did not share in its wealth. Politicians prospered, but the jobs left and the factories closed. The establishment protected itself, but not the citizens of our country. Their victories have not been your victories. Their triumphs have not been your triumphs. And while they celebrated in our nationve enriched foreign industry at the expense of American industry; subsidized the armies of other countries, while allowing for the very sad depletion of our military. We borders while refusing to defend our own.
And spent trillions and trillions of dollars overseas while Americave made other countries rich, while the wealth, strength and confidence of our country has dissipated over the horizon.
One by one, the factories shuttered and left our shores, with not even a thought about the millions and millions of American workers that were left behind. The wealth of our middle class has been ripped from their homes and then redistributed all across the world.
But that is the past. And now, we are looking only to the future.
We assembled here today are issuing a new decree to be heard in every city, in every foreign capital, and in every hall of power. From this day forward, a new vision will govern our land. From this day forward, its people live together in unity. We must speak our minds openly, debate our disagreements honestly, but always pursue solidarity. When America is united, America is totally unstoppable.
There should be no fear. We are protected and we will always be protected. We will be protected by the great men and women of our military and law enforcement. And most importantly, we will be protected by God.
Finally, we must think big and dream even bigger. In America, we understand that a nation is only living as long as it is striving. We will no longer accept politicians who are all talk and no action, constantly complaining, but never doing anything about it.
The time for empty talk is over. Now arrives the hour of action.
Do not allow anyone to tell you that it cannot be done. No challenge can match the heart and fight and spirit of America. We will not fail. Our country will thrive and prosper again.
We stand at the birth of a new millennium, ready to unlock the mysteries of space, to free the earth from the miseries of disease, and to harness the energies, industries and technologies of tomorrow. A new national pride will stir ourselves, lift our sights and heal our divisions.
Its time to remember that old wisdom our soldiers will never forget, that whether we are black or brown or white, we all bleed the same red blood of patriots.
We all enjoy the same glorious freedoms and we all salute the same great American flag.
And whether a child is born in the urban sprawl of Detroit or the wind-swept plains of Nebraska, they look up at the same night sky, they will their heart with the same dreams, and they are infused with the breath of life by the same almighty creator.
So to all Americans in every city near and far, small and large, from mountain to mountain, from ocean to ocean, hear these words: You will never be ignored again.
Your voice, your hopes, and your dreams will define our American destiny. And your courage and goodness and love will forever guide us along the way.
Together, we will make America strong again. We will make America wealthy again. We will make America proud again. We will make America safe again. And yes, together we will make America great again.
Thank you. God bless you. And God bless America.
Thank you.
God bless America.
Ihave spent the last years, trying to resolve two enigmas: why is productivity so disappointing in all the companies where I work? I have worked with more than 500 companies. Despite all the technological advance – computers, IT, communications, telecommunications, the internet.
Enigma number two: why is there so little engagement at work? Why do people feel so miserable, even actively disengaged? Disengaged their colleagues. Acting against the interest of their company. Despite all the affiliation events, the celebration, the people initiatives, the leadership development programs to train managers on how to better motivate their teams.
At the beginning, I thought there was a chicken and egg issue: because people are less engaged, they are less productive. Or vice versa, because they are less productive, we put more pressure and they are less engaged. But as we were doing our analysis we realized that there was a common root cause to these two issues that relates, in fact, to the basic pillars of management. The way we organize is based on two pillars.
The hard—structure, processes, systems.
The soft—feeling, sentiments, interpersonal relationship, traits, personality.
And whenever a company reorganizes, restructures, reengineers, goes through a cultural transformation program, it chooses these two pillars. Now we try to refine them, we try to combine them. The real issue is – and this is the answer to the two enigmas – these pillar are obsolete.
Everything you read in business books is based either two of the other or their combine. They are obsolete. How do they work when you try to use these approaches in front of the new complexity of business? The hard approach, basically is that you start from strategy, requirement, structure, processes, systems, KPIs, scorecards, committees, headquarters, hubs, clusters, you name it. I forgot all the metrics, incentives, committees, middle offices and interfaces. What happens basically on the left, you have more complexity, the new complexity of business. We need quality, cost, reliability, speed. And every time there is a new requirement, we use the same approach. We create dedicated structure processed systems, basically to deal with the new complexity of business. The hard approach creates just complicatedness in the organization.
Let’s take an example. An automotive company, the engineering division is a five-dimensional matrix. If you open any cell of the matrix, you find another 20-dimensional matrix. You have Mr. Noise, Mr. Petrol Consumption, Mr. Anti-Collision Propertise. For any new requirement,
you have a dedicated function in charge of aligning engineers against the new requirement. What happens when the new requirement emerges?
Some years ago, a new requirement appeared on the marketplace: the length of the warranty period. So therefore the requirement is repairability, making cars easy to repair. Otherwise when you bring the car to the garage to fix the light, if you have to remove the engine to access the lights, the car will have to stay one week in the garage instead of two hours, and the warranty budget will explode. So, what was the solution using the hard approach? If repairability is the rew requirement, the solution is to create a new function, Mr. Repairability. And Mr. Repairability creates the repairability process. With a repairability scorecard, with a repairability metric and eventually repairability incentive. That came on top of 25 other KPIs. What percentage of these people is variable compensation? Twenty percent at most, divided by 26 KPIs, repairability makes a difference of 0.8 percent. What difference did it make in their action, their choices to simplify? Zero. But what occurs for zero impact? Mr. Repairability, process, scorecard, evaluation, coordination with the 25 other coordinators to have zero impact. Now, in front of the new complexity of business, the only solution is not drawing box es with reporting lines. It is basically the interplay. How the parts work together. The connection, the interaction, the synapse. It is not skeleton of boxes, it is the nervous system of adaptiveness and
intelligence. You know, you could call it cooperation, basically. Whenever people cooperate, they use less resources. In everything. You know, the repairability issue is a cooperation problem.
When you design cars, please take into account the need of those who will repair the cars in the after sales garage. When we don’t cooperate we need more time, more equipment, more system, more teams. We need – when procurement, supply chain, manufacturing don’t cooperate we need more stock, more investories, more working capital.
Who will pay for that? Shareholder? Customers? No, they will refuse. So who is left? The employees, who have tocompensate through their super individual efforts for the lack of cooperation. Stress, burnout, they are overwhelmed, accidents. No wonder they disengage.
How do the hard and the soft try to foster cooperation?
The hard: in banks, when there is problem between the back office and the front office, they don’t cooperate. What is the solution? They create a middle office.
What happens one years later? Instead of one problem between the back and front, now have to problems. Between the back and the middle and between the middle and the front. Plus I have to pay for the middle office. The hard approach is unable to foster cooperation. It can only add new boxes, new bones in the skeleton.
The soft approach: to make people cooperate, we need to make then like each other. Improve interpersonal feelings, the more people laike each other, the more they will cooperate. It is totally worng. It even counterproductive.
Look, at home I have two TVs. Why? Precisely not to have to cooperate with my wife. Not to have to impose tradeoffs to my wife. And why I try not to impose tradeoffs to my wife is precisely because I love my wife. If I didn’t love my wife, one TV would be enough: you will watch my favorite football game, if you are not happy, how is the book or the door?
The more we like each other, the more we avoid the real cooperation that would strain our relationships by imposing tough tradeoffs. And we go for a second TV or we escalate the decision above for arbitration.
Definitely, these approaches are obsolete. To deal with complexity, to enhance nervous system, we have created what we call the smart simplicity approach based on simple rules. Simple rule number one: understand what others do. What is their real work? We need go beyond the boxes, the job description, beyond the surface of the container, to understand the real content. Me, designer, if I put a wire here, I know that it will mean that we will have to remove the engine to access the lights. Second, you need to reinforce integrators.
Dear teachers and students,
Hello! Today, my topic is "protecting the environment and everyone isresponsible".
Throughout the ages, earths mother has nurtured countless generations ofchildren with sweet milk. She was beautifully decorated by her children. Now,however, the human race tormented her for its own sake. Man has only one earth; And the earth is facing a severe environmental crisis. "Save the earth" hasbecome the most powerful voice of people all over the world.
Students, we are the small masters of the earth, environmental awareness isthe important symbol of modern people. We should establish a sense ofresponsibility in The Times. Focus on the world and focus on the campus. To pickup the scraps of paper with a bent waist; Dont throw about; Take a few moresteps, dont pass through the green belt, trampling green space. "It is incumbenton all of us to save resources and protect the environment. We need to startfrom now, start from our side, start small. Through our efforts, the sky of themotherland is bluer, the land is greener, the water is clearer. Whether it isthe past, present, or future, whether it is family, country, or the world, theenvironment is always our friend, to be kind to our friends, to be kind toourselves.
"There is only one earth", let us protect our homeland together.
Good afternoon, ladies and Gentlemen. Today I’d like to begin with a story. We all know that Chinese, as a nation has a long history about 5000 years, andwe feel very proud of our brilliant and splendid culture. Owing to that, myfather always told me: “you would suffer loss if you don’t follow old people’swords.” Besides I was taught everyday to learn Peking Opera. If some boy who isabout 16 years old sings Peking Opera in the classroom now, I’m afraid he willbe laughed at. JAY’s “Qian Li Zhi Wai ”seems more popular to you.
So we may wonder does our tradition get out of the modern lifeAbsolutelynot. What we need is just a peace of innovation. Here is a question:What isinnovationInnovation was an ancient dream flying into the outer space;innovation today, is the amazing convenience and intelligence that a singlemobile phone in your pocket could bring to you.
There is no more then a battle between tradition and innovation, which isthe rain and water relationship, not only tradition like fish without water, again good innovation will also become the castles in the air, there wont belasting vitality. Only both of them are perfectly together will bear fruits ofsuccess as well.
With the economic globalization becoming increasingly intensive, innovationhas become one of central topics around the world. Many countries see it as thekey to develop their economy. Our government, with no exception, regard it as "the soul of our nation." Based on advanced function system and excellentmanagement, factories are booming and enhance overall national economy. Highlydevelopment of electronic commerce is also a significant factor for improvingour living standards. The enlargement of our authority to the recruit ofgraduate and improvement of the conditions of scientists and skilled workers......
From all above, innovation has already became a kind of habit. There is nodoubt we would surprise the world by creating more and more amazing innovationstaking advantages of not only our intelligence but innovation. I’m sureinnovation has became one of the symbols in Chinese tradition and will be markof our bright future!
Thanks for your attention. Thank you very much.

there is a kindness called smile
good afternoon, ladies and gentlemen! today i’d like to share my personal experience of happiness and bitterness of being an english teacher.
i remember, five years ago, when i stood at the teacher’s desk for the first time, maybe because i was too young, maybe because i was too inexperienced, the students in my class paid no attention to me, didn’t behave themselves at all. i felt ashamed and helpless. in order to save my face, i just criticized the students seriously whenever they talked in class or even moved a little. i thought sooner or later, they would listen to me. yes, i could control the class now, but the students and the atmosphere became strange. no, they were not listening to me. it was too quiet. the breathless silence urged me to consider the way i was teaching.
then 1 august 20__, i got the chance to study the new course of english. until then could i realized that it was my frozen eyes that make the students flinch, it was my stiff face that trod out the enthusiasm in the children’s hearts. how to stimulate my class and show my warmth, so that they can enjoy their study in english? i had a deep thought. it’s smile. there is a kindness called smile. it is the most beautiful language in the world. it can make distance no distance. “just awake the students with a smiling face!”i said to myself. the next day, when i stood on the stage with a smiling face, when i asked the questions with a smile, when i encouraged the children in a friendly way, the students were just shocked! but i could find there was more happiness and excitement in their eyes! gradually, they got used to it, and participated in my teaching. as i predicted, that class became a lovely one. i was moved, and said“thank you for listening, boys and girls!” in the following days, i keep on working even harder. i prepare my lessons carefully. i use flash, pictures, riddles, and interesting stories to make great efforts to help the students to learn more. but i will never forget one thing: smile, give them a smile, to give them strength, to let them feel happy, to make them confident. the children do enjoy the english lesson now, when they tell me the answers in great excitement, i can feel their gladness, and my smile is more sincerely than ever!
there is kindness called smile. from the children’s yearning eyes, i understand, it is smile that makes my students and i get closer, it is smile that fills the kindness to my english class, it is smile that shapes me popular english teacher finally. that’s all.
thank you very much!
From Monday until Friday most people are busyworking or studying, but in the evenings and off weekends they are free to relax and enjoy watch television or go to the movies;others participate in depends on individual e are many different ways to spend our spare time.
Almost everyone has some kind of may be anything from collecting stamps to making model hobbies are worth a lot of money; others are valuable only to their owners.
I know a man Who has a coin collection worth several thousand yuan.A short time ago he bought a rare ten-yuan piece worth 250 was very happy about the purchase and thought the price was reasonable,on the other hand,my son collects match has almost 600 of them but I doubt if they are wortfi any ver,to my son they are extremely ing makes him happier than to find a new match-box for his collection.
That's what a hobby means,i is something we like to do in our spare time simply for the fun value in money is not important, but the pleasure it gives us is.
good afternoon, everyone. it’s my great honor to stand here and give you a short speech. my topic is “never give up”. now let’s begin.
have you seen a film named titanic, i believe no one will shake head. it’s a film about how the ship titanic sank into the sea in that time. it is very exciting. but i am quite interested in the story of the film, jack and rose’s story. i can learn some deeper things from it.
after the ship hit an iceberg and sank into the sea. jack and rose and other people fell into the cold sea water. as the weather was getting colder and colder, they were gradually stepping into death. jack asked rose to promise him not to give up the hope of life. at last, jack was dead, and rose had a narrow escape, because she listened to jack and didn’t give up.
as for us, we will never be in the sank titanic and do not insist on waiting for the rescue of others, but, in reality, never give up is still necessary and much more important.
in the race of life, there is no doubt that we will go through ups and downs, peaks and valleys, and joys and sorrows. when confronting adversities, someone feels blue and frustrated, declining to struggle one more time. however, there are some people holding fast to their original dreams, making relentless determinations to overcome life’s challenges and become respectable. in face of obstacles, they practice the spirit of “never give up” and eventually mount the winner’ stand.
never give up the hope of life is high level thing, but we are obliged to do it bit by bit. no matter how life treats us, we shouldn’t give up the possibility of success, even if we are refused thousands of times, even if we are acting in adversity. we couldnt, wouldnt and shouldnt give up. in short, never give up is necessary and much more important in our life. only holding the spirit can we achieve our goals and taste the sense of the success.
that’s all. thank you for your attention.
good evening , ladies and gentlemen . i am joy and glad to give you a speech about stress , yes , just the topic you see on the screen.
psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life .
statistics show that stress comes from every detail in our life . financial problems , poor health , being laid off may be the stress that most adults now suffering . as students in the university , we are also under our special stress . while study , having to take various tests and submit a project against a deadline may put a great pressure on us . and the things make us felt stressed may be our parents’s greater expectations on us than we could reach . later , when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us . i think we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how we can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job .
