水是大地的血脉，它滋润着崇山峻岭，灌溉着良田;水是一切生命的源泉，它养育着飞禽走兽，哺育着花草树木;水是人类文明的摇篮，在人类文明的发展，因为水环境的变化，导致一个国家一个民族盛衰变迁的例证举不胜举。源远流长的中华文明，也正是依存长江、黄河等母亲河的支撑，而发展下来的。
长期以来，人们普遍都认为水是“取之不尽，用之不竭”的。其实我们地球虽被称之为“水球”，但其淡水储量却是少之又少!水资源并不是“取之不尽，用之不竭”的，水将成为21世纪威胁世界和平影响社会发展的障碍。
所以在全球的水资源危机日益严重的情况下，节约用水便成为每个公民应尽的职责。尤其在中国，水资源的人均占有量并不丰富，淡水资源不到世界人均水量的1/4;地区分布并不均匀，年内变化莫测，年际差别非常之大，每年受旱农田32亿亩，约有5000万人和3000万头牲畜面临水荒。再加上污染，使水资源更加紧缺，所以人们更应该节约用水。如果大家能够从我做起，从现在做起，从身边做起，牢固树立节约意识，从节约一滴水、一粒米、一度电、一张纸入手，把节约落到实处。如果这样，对学校来说，那将是一笔可观的财富，对于我们这个13亿人口的大国来说，那就是一个惊人的数字。
节约是一种美德，节约是一种智慧，节约更应该成为一种习惯和风气。建设节约型社会需要全社会的共同参与和共同行动，找回失去的节约意识，从身边的点点滴滴开始，持之以恒，在建设节约型社会中，将节约这个“传_”进一步发扬光大!
只要大家都注意节约用水，水荒才会远离我们，我们的生活才会安定、和谐;环境才会优美、舒适。同学们明白这个道理后，一定要自己身体力行才行!什么叫爱国、爱校、爱家，不是天天喊在嘴上，而是要落实在行动中。如在家中、在学校节约用水这就是爱国、爱校、爱家的具体表现。
作为当代的中学生，我们应该弘扬中华之美德，节约身边之滴水。

Being received by many international organizations just like OPEC ,WTO ,all of us get closer contact with other parts of the world ,so that we should not only deal with the native citizenship well ,but also global one .
No doubt “Kyoto Protocol” is a model of assembling abilities all over the world to administer and green-house gas pollution .It’s beyond the effort made by politicians and environmentalists only ,and requires all men to attend it .Face to such issues ,we are no more than a person who comes from a certain city even a specific country ,but a global citizen that everyone should say it proudly .
Besides ,from Madam Curies who argues that science and technology should not be limited by national boundaries .Progreis never a nationality’s or a country’s progre,it need all to avail from it .Creating or spreading science and technology ,together with direct economic support ,bridges the gap between one area and another ,which in order to help a creature as same as ourselves or just because of deep sympathy .Thus a person exists as individual ,as well an undivided part of human beings all over the world .Even though what we could do may be negligible ,doing something without regret is the necessary way to realize and fulfill our own global citizenship .
Nowadays ,terrorist acts suggest that world lacks comprehension ,and the divergence of religion and culture should be respect .Being respectful for the diversity is always.

仰观宇宙之大，纵论古今名人，凡是功成卓绝之人，他们都有一个成功的秘诀，那就是坚持!
坚持是取得成功的必备素质。它犹如一条红线，贯穿了始终，是长久不变的意志表现。“骐骥一跃，不能十步;驽马十驾，功在不舍。锲而舍之，朽木不折;锲而不舍，金石可镂!”这句话充分说明了一个人如果有恒心，一些困难的事情便可以做到;没有恒心，再简单的事也做不成。
总览古今中外，大凡有成就的人，无不具有坚持的精神。《史记》这部鸿篇巨著被世人称之为“史家之绝唱，无韵之离骚”，可你知道，它是司马迁耗费了17年的时间，不顾宫刑的折磨，呕心沥血的杰作。更有李白铁杵成针，屈原洞中苦读，匡衡凿壁偷光，他们的精神印证了“贵有恒，何必三更五更睡，最无益，只怕一日曝十日寒”的真理。他们用行动告诉我们，只要有滴水穿石的精神，持之以恒，成功不会遥远。英国首相丘吉尔在面对德国法西斯的疯狂进攻时，就曾对他的国民说过：“不要屈服，永远不可屈服。”这不但是一句振奋人心的豪言壮语，也是他最重要的人生总结，体现了他坚持到底的精神。大家都熟悉愚公移山的故事，愚公之所以能够感动天帝，移走太行、王屋二山。正是因为他具有锲而不舍的精神。可见，成功离不开坚持。
学习也一样，学习不是一朝一夕的事情，学习中感到枯燥在所难免，很多人都因半途而废，而最终一无所获或收益甚少。不少同学知道学习很重要，但是学习累了，作业多了，就失去学习的兴趣，就变得懒惰。究其根本，就是缺乏持之以恒的精神。学习需要恒心，需要持之以恒。在任何条件下，都向着自己的奋斗目标坚持不懈地努力，永不退缩。如果在学习中总是知难而退，半途而废，那么就永远不会取得好成绩。在学习中，我们要坚持把每一课学好，坚持克服每一个困难，坚持地朝自己定下的目标前进，总有一天可以把铁杵磨成针，把金石打磨穿。学习很苦，却又不苦，只要有坚持不懈地决心，那些学习中的困难也不过是脚下一粒石子，如果遇到困难就放，那困难就是眼前的高山。
蜗牛坚持着爬上金字塔顶得到了雄鹰的世界;乌龟坚持获得了兔子的荣誉;愚公坚持而让山移。只有坚持，才能开启成功的大门，我们要学有所成，就要坚持学习。同学们，学习中就要有毅力，有恒心，相信“锲而不舍，金石可镂。”让我们站在此刻的起点上，坚持到底，永不言弃。珍惜初中剩下的时光，用今天的刻苦，铸就明日的辉煌!

今天我讲话的主题是“有始有终，定能成功”。古希腊哲学家苏格拉底曾经在中学当教师，有一天他对班里同学说，我们来做个甩手游戏吧。游戏很简单，就是把手使劲往前甩三百下，再往后甩三百下，但要求每天都这样做。同学们纷纷说这个游戏容易，保证能做好。一个星期以后，苏格拉底问同学们游戏完成得怎么样?同学们全都举起了手。一个月以后，当苏格拉底再做统计时，全班仍有百分之九十的同学在坚持做。一年以后，当苏格拉底在课堂上再次向大家了解情况时，只有一位同学举起手，他就是后来成为大哲学家的亚里士多德。亚里士多德在自己的学习和生活中，凭着这种持之以恒的精神，自觉锻炼自己的意志，终于在哲学领域取得了前所未有的成就，其哲学思想直到现在仍然放射着智慧的光芒。
